oh well there you go my mistake. But even so, I doubt she could enter the top 10 year charts even for next year.

I'm not saying that she took it criminally. It's just an obvious sample to me, that's all..I can't help what my ears hear. :D

And even if Ayu did sample the song, it's not as if I or anyone else should have a problem with it. She's sampled songs before---or rather, totally remade them into her own. [Bold & Delicious] [rainy day] [ladies night]...All original songs that she remade into her own style from Sweetbox's original sucky ones...^_^' (Except [rainy day]...Sweetbox's version was kinda good, but not better than Ayu's).

The lyrics are still hers, and as long as she's being honest with her feelings within the song I don't care who originally made it. Of course, this is all SPECULATION. :dead2

Anywayzies, the song is STILL good and that's all that really matters.

Kikaru 15th November 2008 03:33 AM

OMFG THE ARRANGEMENT. Maybe I'm just such as sucker for oriental with pop/rock, but the arrangement is brilliant.

I actually quite like her vocals in this. Granted, I did think she overdid the vibrato in certain parts, but overall the vocals blend in well arrangement.

Purple Neko 15th November 2008 03:39 AM

I think the song is beautiful

I also liked it the first time i listened to it which isnt very normal for me ;O

GRACE 15th November 2008 03:45 AM

I really really love it <3~ It was worth all the waiting! I really love how different it sounds.

Sweet_Ai 15th November 2008 03:53 AM

At first I thought it was quite boring, then I heard the chorus and it became a little catchy! I like the arrangement though, very much! Not my favorite song by her, but it is really good. Looking forward to the single!

LacusClyne 15th November 2008 04:21 AM

i like it, i think this will be on my playlist for quite some time. i find the opening unique and traditional like, i just can't wait to see the pv

Deneb 15th November 2008 04:21 AM

feels like theme of anation 03 XD

freedreamer 15th November 2008 04:25 AM

I regret listening to the previews so much really..but YES the song is brilliant for me.
The whole arrangement is amazing..tasuku really rocked it this time as welll

and i like that climatic moment at the end and that heart-wrenching ending...she came in one beat later...so it's as if, u were expecting her to sing on that beat but she didnt..and it just catches me off haha..

great work...Days ought to be better since its the first A-SIDE officially..hehe

qwerty 15th November 2008 04:27 AM

The CM preview doesn't do the song justice. The preview makes it sound so much more boring and bland than it really is. The full song sounds so much better. I love her vocals and the arrangement of the song; this is much better than what I was expecting.

terra 15th November 2008 04:35 AM

just one word for everything, the arrangement and etc

GORGEUSNESS!

kournikova 15th November 2008 04:36 AM

it's different than will... the effect of chinese is more vogue-ish.... but alas... this year she releases 2 really good singles.... I must say... this is the 3rd consecutive good single in my ear

ruixiong89 15th November 2008 04:38 AM

The arrangement is fantastic! :D I really really like the song. It's like one of those impressive LIVE concert instrumentals turned into a song! The blend of oriental elements and strings is very very nicely done.

RikkuChii 15th November 2008 04:52 AM

Well, at this point, I really can't stop listening to it. (As shown by my last.fm widget.)

I really like it..maybe even love it!

I have a feeling that I wouldn't have liked it so much if I had listened to all the previews. Now I'm glad I waited, cause I feel like I've been blown away.

ll moments ll 15th November 2008 05:20 AM

i LOVE it! :D

i really like traditional-sounding songs like "Will", so yeah. xD i can't wait for the CD-rip! i love the instrumentals.

Larisa-chan 15th November 2008 05:28 AM

It's fantastic.... wow, I haven't heard such an amazing and original song from her in YEARS. She was able to pull off a new sound yet again. I was getting really worried because the last couple years a lot of her songs have been sounding too similar to each other with very little originality. I've been completely impressed with all of the singles she's released since Talkin' 2 Myself.

I can't wait to hear Days. <3 I hope it's original sounding like this one. Especially since it was like God came down from heaven or whatever Ayu said XD

Who composed this? Whoever it is did a great job, and the arrangement is probably in the top 5 out of all of Ayu's songs. tasuku is an excellent arranger... I'll always stand by that!

Max_ZZZ 15th November 2008 05:31 AM

it's so unique! it's a genuinely good song

the emotion makes up for the chorus which isn't so catchy to me,
but don't get it me wrong i can sing to it forever... but when it first came on the commercial i had to give it a few listens for it to stick!

this new album looks to be so.... UNIQUE AND INTERESTING
so far we have

Mirrorcle World - rock/army beat w/e genre that is
Life - your everyday laid back song that sounds like all her ending sweet happy songs lol if you know what i mean
GREEN - asian power song or w/e you want to call it
and Days... the mysterious amazing song
COOLIO

ArchangelLegend 15th November 2008 05:33 AM

Great stuff! If GREEN were food I'll be overwieght.

Ayu_desu 15th November 2008 05:58 AM

The arrangement is excellent; however, Ayu's voice wrecked it for me. I've noticed in the past few years, Ayu's voice is getting increasingly uncontrolled. The vibrato is excessive and she cuts off too soon in some parts, making it awkward-sounding. But whatever, there's still the instrumental I can enjoy... If only the composers/arrangers get to choose an artist's voice like instruments instead the other way around...

[taskin.ayu] 15th November 2008 06:05 AM

Yeah the start does sound like alan's Sakura Modern, but she does have some producers that Ayu has worked with before, so no biggy. I quite like the song, it has a lot of emotion and I hope there's a good PV that will go with it. XD;

hiro_hikaru1987 15th November 2008 06:06 AM

i hope she will do will and green together in the upcoming CDL too!!! that would be awesome!

sanzo2011 15th November 2008 06:08 AM

It's really great ! Green 's definitely one of her great songs ( imo ) ....

gogirlanime 15th November 2008 06:15 AM

Really pretty, I like it a lot, it's rare that I like an Ayu song the first time I hear it. Though I don't like how her voice kinda skips, the timing of the song is very unique so I can see where it might have been hard for her to sing some lines. But I give it a 7-8/10. And her vibrato just isn't what it used to be, the very last note, the vibrato was bad... but then again I also consider her hearing too.

Nu-NRG 15th November 2008 06:19 AM

this is like a crossover of INSPIRE and vogue/Theme of a nations '03 but with tribal sounding more so than oriental though
and I LOVE IT
well done ayu!
I've waited long enough for a song that exceed my expectation :D

alternarist 15th November 2008 07:08 AM

first few seconds i thought it was SURVIVOR!!

but after that, it gave me an orgasm.. i cant describe it. it's been a long time since ayu did a song with such oriental flavour.

xtinavrilayu 15th November 2008 07:40 AM

I don't have the song :( Does somebody has it? Please, PM me :(!!!:(

thesilentspeaker 15th November 2008 08:11 AM

it's smthg different and refreshing frm her. the beginning reminded me of Mandy Moore's In My Pocket

Some people are complaining about the vocals..Actually, I think they are perfect. I love the way she sings the whole song.

i agree! i love her deeper voice.

Not~Yet 15th November 2008 10:13 AM

^-I agree too :yes

And I'm totally in love with GREEN! x___x Just absolutely great. I didn't fall in love with TW... when I first heard it, but now I love it so I guess GREEN will become one of my fave songs when I get the HQ ver.

Meat Pao 15th November 2008 10:18 AM

Initially I totally thought GREEN would be crap, but after listening to it I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY! I have to say this is totally one of Ayu's best songs of all-time.

greggerz189 15th November 2008 11:04 AM

FANTASTIC. Seriously, her releases in terms of singles this year have been spectacular. I hope she keeps up this quality of material for her forthcoming album (which I'm hoping won't be released until much later next year XD)!!

ayuzlove 15th November 2008 11:29 AM

still in the process of absorbing...lol...but the chorus is definitely outstanding...and the music is also very unique :yes

Ayu_no_tenshi 15th November 2008 11:50 AM

one of the best songs in a long time!!! it's soooooooo great.

iphis 15th November 2008 11:55 AM

this is such a good song that i've listened continously for like 20 times
i do hope this could reach 300,000
and that makes DAYS a miracle

Ayunk 15th November 2008 12:33 PM

It's very nice ! Powerful vocals and it has an oriental feel :love

majrakun 15th November 2008 01:29 PM

I LOVE HER VOCALS. I don't know, I guess I'm more into the deep-voice of Ayu. Kind of like how GUILTY sounded. But I don't think I'll be listening to it much. As much as I love the "strain" in her voice, it's bound to make me depressed, although I don't know much about the lyrics yet. It's just the way that she sings it. And I love how it ends. I think her vibrato really suited this song! I'm just in loooove, right now. I hope the PV comes out real soon, like, really.

Teppei-chan 15th November 2008 01:41 PM

The song is great.
I donīt know why but it makes me a little bit sad when I hear it

v3lun420 15th November 2008 01:47 PM

Though I really thx that it been uploaded, the quality is so bad I can't really say it does the song justice. But, the intro was surprising me. I was like WOW, this IS new, but then, probably bacause I listened to the previews many times, and even make it my ringtone, I kinda BORED after that. But I dunno, it needs to grow more on me first.
All in all, the previews and the low quality really dont give the song enough justice, so I'll wait a little longer. I just hope that this single will become another no.1 for her.

I extremely agree!!
From the first place I said ayu had fit her song just into that type of song and made it a great song, the vocals are awesome <3.

RadnasticReggie 15th November 2008 03:12 PM

Well, I personally don't know. I'm waiting until the singles actual release.
It kind of makes me angry that people are so incredibly impatient that they have to listen to the song a month before it releases. It's kind of stupid. I always wait for the release. It's better that way. =)

A-TeensFan 15th November 2008 03:28 PM

I think the arrangement totally ruins GREEN!

Yeah I think her deeper vocals are better. They fit her style better anyway.. she's not a bubblegum pop artist any longer

When was she though?
She was never considered bubble gum, just pop queen (and lately mainly rock/pop) since she never released a lot of cute songs. The only 2 she has are ANGEL'S SONG and HONEY and both aren't even singles XD (unless if you consider some summer songs) but it's not the majority of her music (thanks god) =P it's a really small part.

I can't stop listening to GREEN and it surprises me because it's a bad quality leak.

Yeah I know but her material back then was more mainstream and suitable for teenagers. Now she has moved away from that style and her music is more mature.

ayumisrael 15th November 2008 03:51 PM

Well that's what should happen to most artists anyway and if not then it's too bad for them =P.
I do agree that her music was more mainstream than know (don't think it should be called bubble gum though considering the styles) just mainstream, yep. I'm glad that she could grow and evolve her music since it's the most important thing and her music now sounds so awesome even if it's not as mainstream as before, I don't care for being mainstream, I care for quality music and for me ayu pulls that the best. GREEN couldn't prove it better.

aloopy 15th November 2008 04:38 PM

also, GREEN sounds like an amazing song to open a concert with, with an extended intro cause the intro sounds so awesome.

idk why lol but i just totally imagined that

AyUta 15th November 2008 04:43 PM

Hm, I liked the song :yes It was interesting and the arrangement+vocals don't bother me at all. I gotta say though, the beginning sounds much like alan's Sakura Modern, it's so awesome!

KLJames 15th November 2008 05:21 PM

the song is very very good, long time no such Japanese feel ayu song since part of Me d... but but... can't imagine how the song gonna fit with China's feel pv...

AyUmIXx 15th November 2008 05:43 PM

i've listened to GREEN like over and over again..
i really really like the japanese traditional touch on this song..
it's been such a long time that Ayu has never released any of traditional kind of music..
and GREEN is the one!! cool!
never expected that it would have the traditional kind of feeling when i heard through Panasonic CM..

can't wait to see the PV!

nikku76 15th November 2008 05:51 PM

This song gives me a very warm feeling. It's very powerful, dark and sort of epic without trying too hard to be. It feels much more natural than many songs.. I dunno, I just feel GREEN becoming a favorite. I'm gonna hold off on listening much more until I get the HQ, just so there's no readjusting.

reixminako 15th November 2008 06:25 PM

This is such a good song! I love all the emotion and hard work that was so obviously put into making this. It makes me happy that Ayu is still producing really kick ass songs! I love the short drum part toward the end -- I can't wait to hear it in HQ!

pommy48 15th November 2008 10:37 PM

OMG IT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE!!!
totally get a SURREAL type of feeling, like ayu lost in a jungle~
her deep voice is so great for GREEN!!! <333

~X2RADialbomber~ 15th November 2008 10:58 PM

This song totally rules. 2008 is definitely Ayu's year!

KuroixShiroi_Namida 15th November 2008 11:17 PM

omg i love GREEN. It's so awesome: A++++++++++++++++++++

Ani_C 15th November 2008 11:24 PM

SO PROUD OF HER! This'll definitely put off my bad mouthing for quite some time~ :laugh I love it, therefore until her next album comes out I'm not listening to it. xD

WillofDusk 15th November 2008 11:30 PM

I lover how Ayu's learned to take full control of her vocal in GREEN. It's almost like an enka singer but much better and faster in changing to different notes.

maikaru 16th November 2008 12:47 AM

yeah her freestyle at the end was really surprising..
I didn't really expect her to be able to do it.
But the last high note .. I was so shocked!!

I actually think this IS her true voice..
She isnt changing it I think..
This is what her voice sounds like now.
It's the same kind of deep as Mirrorcle World and those songs in the beginning~

~ayu-cake~ 16th November 2008 01:18 AM

I love it.
I am so excited for the video! ^^

DogboyShugo 16th November 2008 02:01 AM

I;m quite impressed! It's a lot better then what the previews made it out to be. I wasn't thinking "It's going to be an okay song" but my opinion went up a lot higher of it ^_^

se7entheaven 16th November 2008 02:18 AM

This song is really different from what she sang before...but I agree that she might has hard times trying to sing this song ^^
I imagine next year's ARENA TOUR will be great with GREEN being the oriental (japanese/chinese) theme....so sweet

edit: OMG at the last part !!! SHE REALLYS SCREAM! '...yo kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'
the ending is so great...just like part of me

lovelism 16th November 2008 05:08 AM

the song is strong and powerful!

kawmei 16th November 2008 05:14 AM

Beautiful. I really like it and can't wait to watch the video!

KarenPang 16th November 2008 06:14 AM

I like it & being chinese I like the fact that there's quite a strong chinese oriental feel/influence to it

not to mention it's something different that GREEN has offered too

me0wie 16th November 2008 10:20 AM

i like it! :) in fact... its now stuck in my head... the chorus part just keeps replaying and replaying in my head...

Lumix 16th November 2008 12:15 PM

I like the song. Except her voice though, which is unfortunate. :( I don't like how she doesn't sing certain parts at once, but makes million of small pauses.. almost sounds like a speech. Also, her vibrato is pretty random at times.. esp. the end.

kendelle 16th November 2008 12:50 PM

I love this song so much! <3333

Her vocals are absolutely amazing - hearing it in full it's quite complicated but executed really well. I've never heard anything like it I felt a chill up my spine when she hit the higher notes. It's great the song's finally out for us to hear in full - I wonder how it goes with Days?

I can't wait to get my CDs and hear the music as it's intended ^_^

IMHO GREEN compliments MW ^_^ I hope this is the direction she goes in for a while, I love the song so much

Mirai Noah 16th November 2008 05:36 PM

I really, really, like it! :D

dreamland2.0 16th November 2008 06:10 PM

Absolutely impressed with this song :) I'm hoping Days is a faster paced song to compliment the more ballad-style GREEN. Can't wait for the PV's!!!

Kazeyomi 16th November 2008 07:32 PM

The vocals are really good, her voice its more deep and mature :3 the yoka part its breathtaking! Really powerful and emotional! :D
But the preview has a medium-low quality, so we can appreciated it at the release. I guess ^^

sitara 16th November 2008 07:34 PM

love the music!!
i'm not wowed by her vocals though... they are good in the chorus, but elsewhere... i don't like it. the ending is hilarious with "waaaaaaaa~~~h uuh-uuh-wooow..." oh my oh my...

and the lyrics we have heard many times before, in other songs.

BUT I'M REALY GLAD SHE'S TRYING NEW THINGS NOW!!!!!!

Ani_C 16th November 2008 07:42 PM

:laugh I love how I'm not the only one complaining about the vocals. Well I've discussed with others but it's one of two things: 1) To go along with the feel of the song (because it kind of does suit it), or 2) She's really holding back. I personally thought it was kind of messy at times and didn't like that holding back the vibrato or abrupt pauses.

And yes that last high note :love She got me there, even though she can fix it up so much more, I'm glad to see that she's been doing a lot more of that kind of stuff (You know, just going all out with the music! Feeling that passion!) Either way, I'm proud of Ayu, I applaud her and look forward to the following releases!~ :P (NOW BRING ON THE SMOKEY SEXY JAZZ SONG ALREADY D< )

Qt Mashi 17th November 2008 10:15 AM

oh gosh~~ i havent heard this song yet!

i'm waiting for a cd-rip or something better quality, but i'm not sure if i can wait!!! this is my first time not hearing any previews before the cd-rips, i must not give in!!

ayu_ready? 17th November 2008 10:35 AM

LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT! BEST AYU SONG OF 2008!!! :luv2

I mean, I didn't expect that at all, didn't expect I would love it

but it wasn't boring, it wasn't recycled
it was smth very lovely

I can't stop listening to it

last time & was so pleased & excited was when I heard '(don't)Leave me alone'

wheeeeeee~! :love

PS. I AGREE BOUT THE VOCALS (sometimes they sounded very bad)
but I love the song anyway ;)

Lanz16 17th November 2008 11:27 AM

I LOVE IT!

The ethnic Chinese opening excites me to listen the whole song(at-last!) and the vocals are amazing!

The composistion is really different, its not like "Its like ~INSERT A SONG HERE~".

Very good indeed! (^^,)b

haikudasai 17th November 2008 07:28 PM

I gave it a shot.

I was listening and the overly-painfully produced music and the harsh unpolished in the wrong way vocals ruined it for me. Please use new people for songs.

I can see what she wants but I don't think she mastered it here.

I wasn't watching the time of the song but I knew it was nearly over because she just can't break her predictable writing method.

Maybe Days will be better.

Whew, I thought I was the only one that didn't like GREEN!

music_* 18th November 2008 02:10 PM

Her songs are becoming more and more elaborate!
The arrangement is also much better than her previous ones. now people can't say that her songs are only 'radio-friendly pop'!
(This is based on a single listening of part of a preview. I prefer to watch the PV with the song. Usually that makes me like the song more~)

Isthan 18th November 2008 02:13 PM

Wow, it's really nice, really super! It has a new feel into it, like nothing she's ever done before. It doesn't really remind me of Will much, the overall feeling and emotion is different anyway. The oriental feel is great, it's so calming... I like the lyrics too.

I'm so glad I waited for the full version before listening to this, now waiting for HQ version :luv2. Ooh, Days is going to have hard time being as good as this is...

I don't really like it either. :thud I mean, I don't think it's bad, I just can't get into it. I don't really like the arrangement, the vocals, or the lyrics. :(

SheFliesHigher 19th November 2008 01:39 AM

The best part is definitely the instrumentation. I think her vocals are alright, I don't have any problem with them. EXCEPT the very last word she sings, "misetai". Why does she break it up like "Mise-ta......iiiiii"? It sounds so awkward, like she forgot the song was ending.

Chibi_Venus 19th November 2008 03:18 AM

I'm listening to it for the first time now on YouTube.

I was going to wait until the actual PV came out so I could listen to the song with the video, but I just had to click on it. :P

Not quite sure what I think of it yet. I really do love the new, unique song it possesses, kind of like "Will."

Oh, my God. I'm listening to the end of it, hearing her crescendo at around 3:57 and her "Ooh's" at, like, 4:08.

YES!!!

SOPRANO AYUMI IS BACK!!!!

:syesyes

Lady_Eowyn 19th November 2008 04:03 AM

I

DA1SUK1DAY01691 19th November 2008 05:45 AM

I may agree with everyone about the voice, but I think the voice is key to the emotion. Doesn't it sound like someone sad trying to sing something a little happy? (At least that's what I think)

Then I was also thinking...

It sounds like a song if "vogue" and "Will" had a child. Hahahaha.

jbrat2219 19th November 2008 06:28 AM

The more I listen to it, the more I become accustomed to how it's sung lol...

aulait 19th November 2008 06:57 AM

I'm not feeling it for some reason....
I think the chorus feels a little out of place with the verses. They are not in sync.
