@ CoriKaru: Where did you read that?

Sundae 20th February 2009 10:02 AM

I think the picture is real. The LAPD released a statement. They are looking for the person that leaked it.

♥ you! 20th February 2009 10:21 AM

what the **** omg Chris Brown is DISGUSTING. I never would of thought her injuries would be that bad...and that picture was definitely taken after they cleaned her up.

I RAGED when I saw the photo on TMZ.Seriously,it's so sad to see someone so beat up...

Aisha_Angel 20th February 2009 11:22 PM

The beating of Rihanna...the release of this photo is COMPLETELY DESPICABLE! It is TOTALLY inappropriate and just plain wrong. Words cannot express the rage that is flowing through my veins right now.

All I can say is that Chris Brown beat the **** out of Rihanna and he deserves to go to PRISON! In addition to that statement, I would like to add that whoever leaked this photo to TMZ should be required by the law to face prison time as well. It is one thing to beat some one, but it is another thing to exploit the victim's pain in this manner.

I don't give a damn about ANYTHING she may have done---VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN, VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN---VIOLENCE AGAINST ANYONE SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED BY LAW, AND NEITHER SHOULD THE EXPLOITATION OF IT!

BoBo 21st February 2009 12:19 AM

that's what I'm thinking....
If he gets a slap on the hand for this then that's ****ing wrong, and if the music industry counties to support an artist like him that's equally horrible. I never want him to release a damn thing again, he shouldn't get a second chance for this... when I first viewed the photo this afternoon I was sick! She looked like a dead corpse to me, and I know that in person she looked far worse since there is a bit of contrast on her face due to the camera.... It's crazy this happened so close to me... that entire night of the Grammys all I could think about was Rihanna.

Amrai-chan 21st February 2009 08:10 AM

That's just sick, I saw the picture on TV. I hope he gets punished for what he did. I also hope whoever leaked the photo is punished.

Sick.

waterballoon 21st February 2009 02:46 PM

Ugh I saw the photo on my local newspaper... my friend was so SHOCKED at the extent of her injuries that he just think it was fake!

I mean whoa, Chris Brown has some SERIOUS anger issues. He should be jailed... gosh and WHAT ON EARTH is Rihanna's problem? She has reconciled with Chris Brown? Wtf? Omg girl time to wake up!

Melon Panda 21st February 2009 11:15 PM

^Amen to that.

I don't care if she frickin' gave him an STD, or even insulted his mother---NO WOMAN, OR HUMAN BEING deserves to be battered in this manner! From the looks of the pictures, it looks as if he hit her AT LEAST five times...And if the rumors about him biting her arm and fingers are true, he's even more of a madman than I could've ever imagined a person to be.

soniicpoison 22nd February 2009 05:27 AM

I hope Chris Brown's career is over.

Melon Panda 22nd February 2009 08:04 AM

(I went and bought Good Girl Gone Bad (Reloaded). Sell Me Candy is ridiculously catchy.)

After this incident, Chris Brown has likely lost a good chunk of his fanbase (majority female), although there's guaranteed to be some that will excuse his behavior. It's nice to see Rihanna's sales go up by more than 30% though - at least members of the public support her.

What a sad incident. :(

happiholic★ 22nd February 2009 08:58 AM

^It's stupid the number of celebs who are excusing Chris's behavior. I remember reading that rapper T.I. was acting like it was no big deal, and some other guy, I think from SNL. All of them seem to be black males. I don't mean to turn this into a race issue, but with their attitudes they are adding to the negative stereotype that many decent black guys have to deal with. Stop acting like women are just sexual objects!

Honest question:

I don't like your comment right here. You had the audacity to put a darn "D" at the end of "LIKE" and made it freaking past tense! Where do you get off!?

So tell me, would you advise me to hunt you down and rape your face? You seem to be okay with it no?

Seriously though. You're justifying this with "Not liking something about somebody"?

Everybody in the world would be busted up and swollen if that justification was deemed appropriate by society.

I'm about to go check your profile and if your Birthdate is available you better have been born sometime after Jan. 1, 2009 with thinking patterns like that.

The creepy thing is that people ARE excusing his behavior~ it's sick! I've been reading AOL news, TMZ etc, and a lot of people are behind Chris and his actions... they think Rihanna DID something to make him do what he did.... I feel 100% for Rihanna and no human being deserved to be treated in that matter. Just go to an AOL news board and read all the sick comments, it makes one think about how different people really are in this world (However, it's more like AOL is geared towards people in the US)

waterballoon 22nd February 2009 02:19 PM

Oh my God, you mean... there are people who actually SUPPORT Chris Brown's behavior and think it's OKAY to bash up a woman until her face is in such a condition?

Oh God, just what is our society becoming to? Personally, Chris Brown's actions ARE NOT justified at all. I'm sorry for actually thinking that Rihanna "had it coming" since she knew she had an abusive boyfriend and yet is still tactless with him. I'm really sorry for that.

After seeing the state of Rihanna now... I just feel so offended, shocked and disgusted by Chris Brown. Right now, I really don't care what on earth Rihanna has said to Chris Brown; his actions will NEVER EVER be justified, WHATSOEVER.

And I read my local newspapers today. Apparently, Rihanna is 'appalled' at Chris Brown's "apology" on the net. It contradicts the news I read earlier on in this thread that Rihanna has decided to reconcile with Chris Brown, but I hope the newspapers are right. She should never consider reconciling.

Chris Brown is disgusting, and I hope he goes to jail... I feel really sad for Rihanna. May she recover fast and still be as beautiful as she was.

I think I love you:luv2(just kidding)~

People are really shocked around where I live,my mom was so sad when she saw the photo. It's nice that people aren't supporting Chris Brown here anymore.

Melon Panda 22nd February 2009 08:22 PM

Chris Brown's "apology" wasn't even that. More than anything, it was a PR response, which is appalling. I understand that his team's goal is to keep his career afloat, although in this case, it's a lose-lose situation for him. Letting out a timid PR response makes him look like trash, but outright admitting what he did and apologizing would prove it was his fault, and he and his team probably aren't ready to take that career risk. Ideally, he'd send a serious apology to Rihanna in private, but I doubt that's happened either.

It's sickening to see parts of the public support him, especially after Rihanna's photo surfaced. She did something to him, and that makes it her fault? Even if she did do something to him, I don't see him in a hospital with bruises, so it's hardly an applicable statement. It's like saying women who wear mini-skirts and tight shirts are asking to be raped, so it's their fault if that happens. I can't believe some of the ridiculousness that goes on in this world. Are men not adults who can be held responsible for their actions?

lfe. 22nd February 2009 08:48 PM

Chris called Rihanna to wish her a happy birthday,” an insider tells us. “He’s absolutely trying to get back into her good graces. He knows he’s very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to show her how sorry he is.”
But Brown seems to think a few well-placed birthday gifts can salve his ex’s wounds. He has already sent the “Good Girl Gone Bad” singer a diamond bracelet and necklace, an insider tells us, as well as an iPod Touch. Plus, Brown’s mom, Joyce, who is said to adore Rihanna, sent over a bouquet of flowers.
Lmao, I think an ice pack for a present would be best of this occasion

Anyway, I'm on nobody's side, we don't know the full story yet so I'm not calling Rihanna's or Chris' side.

emi♡ 24th February 2009 01:50 AM

waterballoon 25th February 2009 03:17 PM

The funny thing was that there are still people supporting Chris Brown's actions. Like total lol man. It's just getting sick if anyone supports Chris Brown!

In any case, does anyone have any updates on Rihanna? Like is she recovering well or something?

CoriKaru 25th February 2009 11:47 PM

She just celebrated her Birthday the other day, although late. I saw a picture of her but I don't know if it was her at the party or a past picture just used to represent her during the story. If it was a present picture, girl healed up supernaturally or her make up is supernatural.

waterballoon 26th February 2009 02:34 AM

Ouch if she put on make up with her face in that condition... Oh, speaking of her birthday party, the link that I posted earlier on had someone mention about Rihanna wanting to invite Chris Brown over, but her friends stopped her or something.

Like did she have her common sense bashed away too?

Huaka 26th February 2009 03:24 AM

I think it's because for some reason, women (and sometimes men) like to take their crap partners back. We know they are an ass, but for some reason we can't stay away.

But, if she looked good at her party, I'm starting to have doubts. I would love for this story to come out in full, with no fuzzy details.

SO Rihanna was on a beach somewhere. Can't remember the name of the place but they did indeed show a current picture of her in her bikini and she looked perfectly fine to me.

Chris Brown goes to court next week. Still no charges have been filed. Reports claiming Rihanna may not be complying with the police.

waterballoon 27th February 2009 03:07 AM

:O Rihanna gets Clarie's power in Heroes and healed! Okay Chris would be going to court next week... let's just see if there are going to be any charges charged at that time.

jbrat2219 27th February 2009 03:12 AM

No visible injuries? That's peculiar...

CoriKaru 27th February 2009 06:55 AM

Craig Fergerson just told Chris Brown off on television. Ha.

Something annoying I saw today. T.I., after retracting his earlier statement claiming he wasn't aware of everything that had happened even though he said he had spoken with Chris Brown, said recently how he's praying for both of them or something like that and how he just wants both of them to rise above all of this.

He even has a hit song with Rihanna on it and he's still cutting Chris Brown slack.

Just like Craig Fergerson said. "Don't cut him any slack. Miserable little *******". His words. Not mine. He also likened Chris Brown to "Freddy" from the new "Friday The 13th" Movie. "......A crazed man who runs around beating vulnerable women...........techincally known as Chris Brown".

Mixed results from the crowd.

Melon Panda 27th February 2009 08:32 AM

She probably loaded up on makeup before stepping out, and her bruises have likely partially healed already. It's a sensitive subject to her, and it's bad enough the whole world knows, so there's no way she'd go out into the public showing off what happened.

lfe. 27th February 2009 09:49 PM

Whats so surprising about her looking okay now, its not like bruises don't heal. The swelling subsides after a while and all theres left are bruise marks that can easily be covered by makeup

CoriKaru 27th February 2009 09:59 PM

Her Gangrene looking lip was more than a bruise and that one picture we saw didn't give us the full extent of her injuries so we more or less had to use our imaginations a little bit.

Did you forget that Rihanna was Black? What you said makes no sense whatsoever. Come on, now. If it is true then how come he didn't support Rihanna? What is your excuse now?

ayumixfan 1st March 2009 01:47 PM

well he's not going against rihanna, he's just telling the media to leave chris brown alone and stop insulting him. I don't see how that affects rihanna's case in any way >_> sorry if I offended anyone but sometimes i think very lowly of kanye for the things he's done and said previously. How can he support chris brown like that after chris brown nearly killed the poor girl :( ~! and say that the VMA didn't pick him and pickd britney during her blackout era cuz he's black... I dunno maybe i'm jumping into too many conclusions. Sorry if I offended anyone with that comment. Its just the kanye west makes a few too many comments about race. Like how he said George bush hates black people in hurricane katrina, the VMA, and now he's telling people to give chris brown a break even and people make mistakes!? What kinda mistake is beating a woman 1/2 to death :S! I'm sure kanye made mistakes but I'm pretty sure this would've never happened. Like I know he's probably friend's with chris brown, but to say something like this is just outrageous. Thats why i made such a connection. SOrry if it was rude for making such a mean assumption>< ~! I just felt that atm and said whats on my mind without thinking.

BTW I dont have anything against black people jsut in case people think I'm racist now for saying that o_o! I don't have anything against black people. Its just some of the comments kanye makes are so.... surprising to me and just shows this to me. Like I use to love chris brown's music and thought he was great dancer and a nnice guy until this happened... and althought I don't like rihanna's music, I respect her as an artist because she can sing live and dance live. I love alicia keys, she's a great vocalist, composer and she's so pretty! Its just the comments kanye has made over his career drive me insane =_= ~! I shall edit my comment though because I can feel the offensive nature of it now that i realize it. I'm not saying that you guys called me racist. I just want to make sure that other people don't get this impression from my comment o_o"

WTF they're back together again. I voted NO! at the Perez Hilton's blog!

chocopockymaster 1st March 2009 04:50 PM

If something like this happens again, I won't feel sorry for her in the least. Stupid girl.

I don't think that people were getting that idea, but just pointing out that the comment didn't make much sense because Rihanna is also black. Kanye does seem to love to make racially charged comments, but I don't think that is relevant in this case. This time, he was just being stupid.

Don't worry, no one is mad at you or anything! I think that Sweet's and my comment were taken wrong.

It's difficult to leave abusive relationships, or so I've heard, so while I wish she'd done differently, I won't pass judgment on Rihanna for staying with Chris Brown. It's likely a lot of emotional/mental abuse was involved for her to hold onto the relationship. (She probably believes she can change him and/or there won't be a second time, but who knows.) With all the publicity surrounding, hopefully one (or both) of two things will happen:

1) Chris Brown actually does change for the better, and permanently.
2) Rihanna eventually dumps him and finds someone much, much better.

AyUta 2nd March 2009 01:10 AM

Just read that they're back together...
I hope everything goes well for her. Chris Brown...lay another finger like that on her and...and..:curse

I do hope she is able to change him for the better.

CoriKaru 2nd March 2009 02:44 AM

If they are together again, I'm sure Chris will lay his hands on her in some abusive capacity. He'll just be smart about it this time and keep it hidden and on the down low. When these abusive types know they have their females on lockdown like Rihanna seems to be b/c she supposedly took him back, that's when they know they have all the power. And Rihanna's giving it to him so why should I care yes?

I can't imagine what kind of "Comfortable" relationship they'll have now though. Rihanna's family supposedly hates him and certain other celebrity friends supposedly hate him. They'll have to stay shut in or something. And what about family functions and Award Shows and all of that. Awkward moments abound.

I read on Perez Hilton that Rihanna's father supported her decision to take Chris back. But, then again it is Perez.

But, no doubt that Chris is gonna beat her again. Although, we may or may not hear about it.

waterballoon 2nd March 2009 05:12 AM

Yeah, I think Rihanna has thought "I can change him" thought... I hope she's right. But again, yeah, I agree with you guys... Chris Brown's impression of Rihanna now is that, WHATEVER he does to her, she'll forgive him etc... which equates to a free punching bag.

I wish the best for them.

Emperatriz Ayumi 3rd March 2009 12:27 PM

I hope Rihanna will recover from the injuries...

CoriKaru 4th March 2009 04:11 AM

So I heard more about the Father. It seems he didn't necessarily say that he approved of Rihanna's decision, he just said he stands behind her in whatever she chooses, which is code for, "Girl be tripping but I'm her Father and I don't want to mess up our relationship". Although if a boy can beat her and she's fine with it, I'm pretty sure her Father can say basically anything he wants about Rihanna getting back with Chris and he should be fine with her still.........Operative words being "Should be".

Anyway, also Chris called Rihanna on her Birthday and begged and cried for her to take him back or keep him or whatever and he promised he wouldn't beat her again and he'd get help.

Also, Rihanna hasn't healed all the way yet and has been indeed wearing make up to cover the marks and bruises still on her face and she still has some swelling.

And last but not least...........Rihanna is concerned that her nose is crooked now and is thinking about getting surgery done on it to fix it.

Gandhi wouldn't approve, but a nose for a nose doesn't leave the whole world nose-less. :)

koumori 4th March 2009 09:40 AM

I personally don't think Rihanna should get back with Chris Brown...apparently he sent her gifts and she 'forgave' him...

But he humilated her, left her with a bruised and battered face and made her hide out for two weeks from the media..

It doesn't make sense to me. =/ I hope she's okay.

waterballoon 4th March 2009 06:38 PM

Her nose is crooked. And she still takes him back. *CLAP CLAP*

And wow 'cried'. Chris Brown 'cried'. Gosh I don't know... Rihanna is too soft. She needs a BFF who stands up and slaps Chris Brown and screams something like "Go punch someone else!"

CoriKaru 6th March 2009 07:52 AM

So OFFICIAL information is being given out on CNN. Video images of Chris in court are shown as well.

So I'm going to try and remember some stuff.

Rihanna read a text message on Chris's phone from a past female Chris had a sexual relationship with. Chris got mad, shoved Rihanna's head against the window. Punched her in the left eye. Punched her in the mouth and her mouth filled up with blood. Punched her in the eye some more and told her he was going to beat the **** out of her. Told her that she was going to get it when they got home. He said he was really going to kill her now.

So if Chris is convicted he'll get 4 years and 8 months in Prison. But we all know that's not going to happen.

So yeah, this was all on the affidavit. No more speculation I guess. I'll try and see if there's any links online to any of this information b/c I just saw all of this on CNN.

EDIT: Luckily enough it's all over the net and easy enough to find.

Here's a link: http://perezrevenge.com/read-the-aff...what-happened/

You'll have to click on the separate pages to read them and you can zoom in as well. It's pretty violent.

koumori 6th March 2009 09:37 AM

^

That's awful. Disgusting. =/

Poor Rihanna. I can't believe she'd take him back after all that!

I hope he's not manipulating her...some guys are good at that..

Ok, not the most reliable sources. Cause this would be insane.

v3lun420 6th March 2009 11:07 AM

Okay... I know that sometime woman can be so darn annoying and thus sometime they deserve a slap on the face. This is my statement as a woman myself. BUT, this is overkill. I myself don't really care about this, but since this thread crosses me, I really can't shut my mouth up over this, a little late I know. But CB really needs to go to at least an anger management class. No matter who started it first, even if Rihanna was the one who provoked him, all she deserved, if it was true, was just a slap on her face, usually a slap is enough to cool an angry woman down. But when it involved beating, choking whatever classy words to describe this situation, this has gone so incredibly wrong. He deserves a good period of jail time.

edit: And about Rihanna is reconciling with CB, as an Asian with pretty strong Asian tradition, it IS good only if they are married couple, where u have to sort out all problems, disagreements, whatever no matter how hard or harsh they are. But if they are just 'going out' it IS not wise for her to come back to him

waterballoon 7th March 2009 04:16 PM

I feel like slapping Rihanna for taking back a man who is so violent... the details of their fight in the car is just gross...

happiholic★ 7th March 2009 06:32 PM

So, then, Rihanna didn't really do much to really deserve the beating? She just read a text message??

AyUta 7th March 2009 08:00 PM

^ Exactly. He was on the wrong all the way. Cheating on her. Sexual relationship...why that little bastard.

Attorney: Rihanna will testify if called

MSN Entertainment

LOS ANGELES-- Rihanna's attorney says the singer would testify against Chris Brown if called as a witness in her boyfriend's assault case.

Donald Etra, who is representing the 21-year-old Barbados native, said Friday that Rihanna would be required by law to testify if prosecutors subpoena her.

Etra appeared in court Thursday when Brown made his first appearance on charges of assaulting and making criminal threats to his superstar girlfriend. Brown's arraignment was postponed until April 6.

Etra said Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, wants the case over with quickly. "She wants to get along with her life and career," he said.

Earlier Friday, Entertainment Tonight broke the news that a protective order was issued by the court that limits Brown's interactions with Rihanna.

The order filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday stipulates that Chris must not "harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk, molest, destroy or damage personal or real property, disturb the peace, keep under surveillance, or block movements of the protected persons named above," with Robyn Fenty listed as the protected person. View the document here.

The order expires on March 5, 2012, and also requires Chris to surrender or sell any licensed firearms within 24 hours. The order also prevents the teenage R&B star from attempting to dissuade witnesses from attending a hearing or testifying, or trying to "obtain the addresses or locations of protected persons or their family members, caretakers, or guardian unless good cause exists otherwise."

Another stipulation of the order states that the protected person -- Rihanna -- may record any prohibited communications made by the restrained person -- Chris.

Rihanna's attorney Donald Etra told ET Thursday, "Rihanna was ok with the so-called level one protective order, which orders Chris not to annoy, molest or harass her. And Rihanna believes that was totally sufficient."

At first I just thought Rihanna was being annoying as hell and he just slapped her and the media completely blew it up.

But after I read that report.. Poor girl :no I hope he never does that to her again! I don't care if he's put in jail, I don't care if she takes him back, I just want this to never happen again!
