Daruma-san ga koronda (Daruma tumbled!) is a (traditional?) japanese game. I knew about it from a manga.

One person will turn his back against the others and will say "daruma-san ga koronda!" while others would attempt to sneak up to him, and will have to 'freeze' their movements at the "koronda" part. Anyone who moves at that point is out! One could go "daaaruuumaaa-saaaan gaaa koronda!" and so on. XD The game would repeat until someone reaches him or if everyone is out. :D I wonder who got to to say the line. Probably Ayu. :laugh

I think, from what I understand, in the end of the game, it seemed like all the dancers tumbled upon each other in a pile, lol.

it's not traditional from japan... I've played this game a LOT when I was little ^^ the name in Catalan is "Un, Dos, Tres, Pica paret" (one, two, three, hit the wall, I don't know how it's calle din spanish...). The way of playing is the same, the one who's against the others in the wall close his eyes and hits the wall 3 time while saying "un dos tres pica paret", then she turns and everyone have to be frozen, if someone moves is eliminated. When someone reaches and touches him everyone has to start running and the one who was saying the sentence has to catch someone ^^

There are a lot of ways... (like with almos all popular games). But in my childhood it was "1,2,3 Pollito Inglés"(1,2,3 English Chick) and "1,2,3 Escondite Inglés" (1,2,3, English hideout). I never knew why these weird names :thud.

The screens are really great, yeah, and i love the usage of them for the encore, some screens for the band, one for her, reminds me of an X Japan concert, they often have one screen for each band member/one section of the screen for each band member

I think it's rather difficult for her to sing in that higher register that For My Dear... demands, so she has to kind of yell. Though I don't think she had that problem when singing LOVE ~destiny~ at AT08's acappella thing.. hm..

Yeah well, I guess she can't sound her best after a few hrs of singing and I personally loved how she sang For My Dear.. at PCDL. I know she has a prob with hitting high notes as her voice is pretty different from what it used to be, plus she wasn't singing vibrato when she originally did the song :)

Or maybe Ayu is allowing it so that people can see how amazing the tour is... hm. People all seem to be throwing around the "NL TOUR = DOOMED!" thing, so I can see them lowering the level of security to allow some 'leaks' of information/video.

It's rather good though. Possibly her best stage ever.

Yeah. It basically shows a ton of photos of her growing up [Her Bridge to the sky, I guess] and then it finishes with her as a baby. I guess she feels like NEXT LEVEL is defining the 'next stage' in her career in this new era or something.

I really love the screens. I love that the piano has got "centre stage" so to speak too. Sure her vocals are a little rough. But go listen to the studio version. She can't sing like that any more. She did okay. But the screens are gorgeous, her encore outfit is hot too. :D

2.) Sparkle:
She sings it amazing from the video. Seriously. Good vocals! Also, the screens are once again beautiful!
Now just the outfit needs changing. X_X

3.) Bridge to the Sky:
I know this is obviously pre-recorded. It's an interlude. So..yeah. But the screens!!!
I effing love the screens!!!!!! The photos are probably pretty rare, eh? :)

4.) NEXT LEVEL:
WOW. Her vocals are fantastic from what I can hear. I'm really glad!

I think it's kind of funny she keeps yelling into the mic like that in For My Dear. Maybe she thinks we can't hear her. I have to say FMD is probably my least favorite ballad for her but at least she's not singing it in that high pitched ear piercing voice anymore. I'll take the yelling any day lol.

Maybe she can't hear herself (ear problems). I remember going to AT2007 and during some songs she would constantly be messing the earphone around (adjusting the volume, I guess). Although now that her acts tend to be more choreographed, she just seems to ignore it more.

I think its interesting that within a day she has hit or misses.

I think if she tapped into that nasal-ish quality that her voice had, she could totally hit it still. But the thing is that it appears that she's trying to avoid going into that sort of strange vocal where she's singing through her nose.. hm. I guess that could be why she's 'yelling' and not squeakily singing?

^ Possibly, but I don't really think that she can actually sing the way she did years ago, as her voice has changed quite a bit and her singing style as well, else she wouldn't use her "chipmunk" voice during some of the older upbeat songs which were more nasal.

Anyway, I'm quite disappointed by the For my dear... performance. I went to the two PCDL and I was really astonished by the FMD performances (especially
by the one of the 30th december) It was no perfect but almost perfect. But here... Yeah... she's yelling. I don't think that she can't hit those high notes anymore. The major problem is that she can't hear her voice.
Moreover her voice may be altered by the lack of rest (u_u)

The fact that she's done it before (and recently, at that) should say something about whether or not she can do it. Perhaps her vocals just weren't working for her that day?

i thought her vocals were much worse in the performance in PCDL, they were a big improvement in that vid imo

I went to the Yokohama performance on 10th may.

My seat was in A block seat 150 so I was VERY close to the scene.

Well, the concert is really different from the others this year, I mean, it's not the BIG show.

Very 80's, very colorful, it is a real and true pleasure to be part of it.

Setlist is simple, she sang every NEXT LEVEL track and more such as AUDIENCE, evolution, Present, For my dear, Humming 7/4, UNITE!, HOPE OR PAIN, MY ALL.

Costumes were really nice especially the Rule one. No crazy or weird dresses this time.

Vocals were absolutly perfect, especially for For my dear and Curtain call.

A lot of dancing and public was always raising his hands. For Sparkle, she let us sang with her " No no no part a LOT of time ".

She signed 5 or 6 Ayu balls and then gave it to the public with a baseball bat.

Lasers, fireworks were also hear.

Really good concert, everyone was excited.

Her vocal in the live-to-TV version was pretty good, tbh.
