Hasn't the been announcing her past three tours around this time of year? I don't know when AT05 was announced, but that started in February, and again, I don't know when AT06 was announced, but both that and AT07 started in March, and then AT08 and AT09 started in April... I wouldn't be surprised if she continued this March-April starting trend.

And she's spending several weeks recording her new album in London... why not start the tour there? :P

I don't think anyone's really expecting anything special for the tour this year, especially since it's supposed to be a really long tour... Everyone seems to be more excited about the album-related side of things anyway.

Also: I wonder if the overseas thing fell through. It was supposed to be related to the NEXT LEVEL tour wasn't it? And that the NEXT LEVEL SPECIAL LIVE "news" came out and it ended up being false.

Well, the point of having a bigger Japanese tour than NEXT LEVEL is to simply get to more of Japan, haha. If she does tack on some sort of Asian leg, hopefully it's in the beginning or middle of the tour and not a repeat of AT08 where we have a few months after Japan finishes up before Asia begins. That said, I think if she were going out of Japan this year, she would've mentioned something about it... but hey, you never know with Ayu sometimes.

If you haven't been paying attention, Ayu is the one who wants to do live performances. She loves to perform, so why not let her? I know her vocals haven't been in the best condition, but I don't think she's going to let that get in the way even though people can't help but complain about it every time she opens her mouth.

I just can't wait, but by the time the official announcement comes, a lot of AHS members could really come that it could just clog AHS down, so good thing I set up a subscription to my e-mail for this thread just in case AHS is temporarily clogged up and cannot be accessed, because any kind of important announcement by Ayu herself (e.g. new releases, concert announcements (concert tour, CDLs, a-nation, etc.), etc.) can really make a lot of AHS members come into AHS and might just accidentally clog up the site...

I'll just be checking the official site between the 14th and 15th (since I live in the US, I may see the announcement on the 14th). Or, if it gets posted on TA first, I hope some of the other J-Pop/Ayu-related sites I go to will somehow be able to access AHS and post the news.

She NEEDS to release the album information, we know she's working on an album all the time right now, so she obviously will release it before she tours, maybe even while she tours(after a few concerts? like a week, but very unlikely)

She can still release tour dates without having album information. I'm pretty sure she did that with AT09. First, it was just called ARENA TOUR 2009 (with a note under it saying the title would probably change), and then later ~NEXT LEVEL~ was added to the title.

Then again, I don't think she knew what the album title was going to be when the tour dates were released... this year, though, she knows what the title of the album is going to be. Agreed, new album and tour information being released at the same time would be great!

She's basically already told us that she's working on a new album in the studio, with the title and general concept already figured out. I wonder if it'll end up like NEXT LEVEL and come out the week before AT10.

A world tour would be fantastic, but Ayu already seemed tired from her last tour. I think she should have a little break before doing a WORLD tour. That way we'd see her at her best.

Miyavi recently did a world tour, but he got sick/fell and really hurt himself in Chile and had to cancel his tour dates in America. He was extremely exhausted, too. He had to fly back to Japan and get treatment but he's yet to reschedule his US dates. My boyfriend and I bought tickets but had to get them refunded.

Ayu might be more used to touring than MYV, but it'd break my heart to see her so tired and exhausted just to please her fans. I want her to get the proper amount of rest before jumping into something big like a world tour. :yes I'm sure many of you can agree.

As much as her international fans want to see her, I think we want her to be healthy and well rested, rather than she does a world tour and just exhausts herself and gets sick.

A world tour is no joke, I would never expect her to do it within a few months. Her schedule in Japan is already SUPER busy, she would have to take more time to plan world tour, maybe go into the next year and not release a new album so soon...

I'm always dreading opening up AHS and finding this thread's title changed to "ayumi hamasaki WORLD TOUR 2010". Honestly, the idea used to excite me before, but now I really really really don't want it to happen.

After CDL 09-10, I don't think she should be touring at all, much less going around the world. She needs to slow down. She needs rest.

I know Ayu's all about pleasing her fans and refuses to take a year off, but why does that have to translate to push yourself as hard as possible till your vocals die and you're constantly sick? If this turns out to be a World tour, I'm gonna be more disappointed in her than excited.

I'm sure I'd enjoy it either way, but personally if I were to see Ayu live, I'd want it to be when she's in a better state than she currently is.

First of all, I don't think that she is only working to please her fans, she seems to be enjoying her live performances as much. Second of all, I am pretty sure that she has been working on both the album and the tour for quite a while even though she didn't say anything about either of the two. Making an album and producing a tour isn't something you can do as quickly as the majority of people here believe she does. She isn't telling us what she is doing every day at work. Let her make her own decisions as she is most likely mature enough to know her own limits. We don't even know if the tour will be much bigger than the ones she has previously done as at times both the Ayu and the people who translate her posts exaggerate (accidentally) what she's saying.

^that's true. And we don't know how many songs the new album will have. Just consider we have 5 songs already, add another 3 or 4 interludes and then you get just a few new songs for that new album. It's not like it's totally out of nowhere and she already has material for it. And even if she adds a few more dates for touring in Japan (there are a few places she hardly or never visited in her tours - fairly big cities, too) that doesn't mean she's doing a world tour. I don't know where that idea ever came from, she didn't say anything about it all, right?

Yeah she should kick of the tour like 2 months after the album.. So the audience can get used to it and stuff.

She has clearly stated, many times, including CDL and music programs, that this tour will be the longest in her 12 years of performing, it is no mistake.

I dont think she is just going to add a few more dates than last year just to call it the longest tour. The way she is talking, it feels like there will be lives in this tour every part of the year, and that she will be working harder than ever... especially her talk on CDL gives this impression.

If one thing gets repetitive, audience will not feel fresh anymore. I mean cumon, this is part of marketing strategy right.

She's probably doing something like Namie, who's going to start the longest tour by a female artist (in Japan, anyway), which is 73 concerts over 8 months. Well, I don't think Ayu's going to try to compete with that, but it will be interesting to see how many dates Ayu has, and where exactly she's going.

Even so, she herself tends to exaggerate things, but even if this time that is not the case, if she intends to have another Asia or "World" tour why would someone want her to stop something she is enjoying that much? Her vocals will most likely never improve as she is obviously confident enough in her skills and doesn't think she needs lessons and training and besides the casual flu she isn't dieing or anything which would prevent her from doing what she herself claims she likes ^^

I still remember the "big surprise" everyone was looking forward to, and it turned out to be an extra tourgoodie: a necklace.

So I'm not getting my hopes up for anything extraordinary.

In all fairness, she did mentioned a bunch of stuff about deco!goods and sparkly things that Satsuki made for her before mentioning the "surprise pendants for AT09" so... it's pretty much people overhyping themselves when there are clues in the entry that say: "It'll be a sparkly tour good."
