Kanousei Girl is now available to download in jpfiles and KMC !!!

It looks like the new single is called Gold Finger Girl and it's produced by Kenichi Asai of BLANKEY JET CITY.
CDJapan has a pages up for a limited edition CD+DVD and a regular CD Only but it looks like the release has been pushed back as both pages have it listed as "release cancelled." They probably want to give Chiaki more time to properly promote Kanosei Girl before releasing another single. :yes And as a sidenote, Kanosei Girl was given an external bonus of trading cards. They're all gone already at CDJ and they must have been a last minute addition as I only noticed it yesterday. I ordered my copies from YesAsia so I hope I still get them. :) |

haha, crazy title! :P but i'm not surprised to see it postponed. maybe in early 2011 they'll release it?
and i found an interview for Kanousei Girl: if you watch until the end, you'll see there's a new production for chiaki in 2011! she looks so cool. maybe it has to do with that postponed single? :P |

I think it does have to do with the Gold Finger Girl single since it was originally supposed to release in December and thus it might be finished already. The footage of Chiaki in the car looks like it's from a PV so maybe they're just postponing the release to give more time to Kanosei Girl? And I wonder if we'll get a 4th single before an album? Releasing two singles in a row with the word "girl" in them and both of them being produced by notable individuals makes me wonder if there's a loose concept going on... |
i'd actually love a concept between the two singles! :D that would be great!
kanousei girl debuted at #24 today, btw. hopefully she'll at least get a top 20 position for the week. :( |

I was a bit disappointed by Kanousei Girl, (eventhough it's rock and I wanted her to make some rock) because Chiaki goes a little off-tune. They should have fixed that... it's so easy to fix voices now.

It really saddens me how poorly the single's doing, even though it's being promoted and I personally think it's much better than RnN. I really hope the "cancelled" release of Gold Finger Girl just means it was pushed back and not truly cancelled. It sounded like it was going to be good.
That short clip from the "shocking production" looks AMAZING though. The way she was speaking definitely seemed like she was singing, and to some sexy, edgy song. I'm really hoping it's for a music video. It isn't like they'd completely can the release if they already spent all the money it takes to film the PV. |

Chiaki's face is so versatile, changing wig gives her totally different looks everytime. I don't like Kanousei Girl, didn't buy it either, so I can't really feel sad or surprised about poor sales. Hope Chiaki's company allows a little more time for her to succeed really. |

Going by her previous singles, the CD+DVD and tie-in editions should be the limited ones. :yes And, wow, it looks like Sony has found their release formula for Chiaki: 1) CD+DVD limited edition, 2) Tie-In limited pressing (with bonus tracks), and 3) CD Only regular edition. I hope they don't apply it to her eventual debut album as I don't know if I'll want to buy an album multiple times. :P |

i think part of sony's promotion for chiaki would also be anime tie-ins. all 3 of her singles are all anime tie-ins, lol. she should get better or more well known types of promotion. gundam did good for her debut since it's gundam and all, but i'm not sure gintama helped kanousei girl much, since the ranking's pretty low. :( i dunno how popular this "Level E" anime will be, but sony should really branch out more and plan her promotion more carefully. hopefully her debut album can at least make the top 10, whenever it'll be released. i think spring or early summer would fit. |

Musically it's fine and the video is awesome but I just don't like Chiaki's vocal: she's got a moany/nasally thing going on and it sounds too messy. I'll definitely still buy the single to support her but I doubt I'll listen to it that much. |

The "Level E" limited pressing of Cold Finger Girl is only available to the end of March so I had a feeling something would be happening around then. I didn't think we'd get both a single and an album though! :)
There'd better be something worthwhile on the single to get fans to buy it otherwise it'll tank. :S |

I really liked her when she first debuted with "Ryuusei no Namida" and even when she started changing styles with "Kanousei Girl" but now... I don't know what she's doing besides coming off as a Ringo Shiina music clone. :/ I'm not hating on her or anything, or even wanting her to be something that she's not, but it's just such a personal disappointment to me that she's trying to develop herself as a "serious rock artist" when she could've been a such a breath of fresh air with a more pop-oriented image and sound. And I really don't know how seriously she's taken in Japan but in the majority of JPop forums I've visited they all refer to her music as "so bad it's good" which I don't think is flattering at all. :P |

Chiaki is re-issuing CIRCUS on 1/11...Seems that they only new things is that the entire "Tsukiyo no Shouzou" will be added, there'll be a new art cover and Tsukiyo no Shouzou's PV will be on the DVD.
Says also that's she's working on her second stage (which I'm guessing is a new era) starting in March |
Maybe "栗山千明" is over and she'll bring back "CHiAKi KURiYAMA"? :laugh
I hope this "deluxe edition" thing doesn't become a trend and Japan's way of repackaging albums like KPop does. If it's profitable, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony tries it with some of their other artists. :/ |

The Kana thing isn't that bad, though, since the album is still the same and the only difference is a slipcover.
In Chiaki's case, this "deluxe edition" makes the first edition inferior since it has additional CD and DVD contents. It's a bit of slap in the face to the people who bought the album the first time. They could buy the new songs as a single but they'd still be missing out on the new PV so it's not really fair. :/ |

So I was .... bored earlier on & I decided to give a listen to Kuriyama's music since I know Lisa told me before she's a fan of Kuriyama's music :p I haven't finish listening to her CIRCUS album but from what I have heard so far , I'm quite impressed Kuriyama's voice is quite distinct & she's so prety which's so not fair ;_; Given on what I have heard so far , I'm quite a convert of Kuriyama's stuff so far but only time will tell on this x) And I have to say I really like Seishun no Mabataki & in a way or 2 , I'm kinda glad this's included in the deluxe edition of CIRCUS haha |
