I'm starting to talk with the crew (sounds funny xD) about the details and who does what...

about alterna88 and the 3D ayu, everyone agrees on:

- 3D Ayu "Alterna version"
- saying in english and english subtitles: "Ayu, here you have messages from your fans in .......!!!" (can you think of another sentence)
- put a flag of the country that it's being introduced, or something: flag in the background, a little flag in the dress or ayu holding a flag....

About 3D Ayu and her sentence:
Could be that I missed this in the thread but how are we gonna make her speak? I mean, is there anyone who speaks the sentence with a kind of Ayu-ish voice or is it going to be a computer voice?

Well i thought about that, but basic T-shirts you can get like 3 for $8.99 here, and then the paper to print it on the shirt only is about $14-16 dollars... so maybe priced each shirt at $12.00 and shipping easily about $7-9 dollars.. wouldn't be so bad. $20-22 dollar specialty t-shirt doesn't sound so bad.

If the idea catches on i would be glad to head it up. I love making T-shirts!

I, like many others, didn't submit a letter to the book project due to school & homework keeping me so busy... the fanbook, seeming like an overly ambitious project, took a backseat to everything else, and I missed my shot. To say that I'm filled with regret over that is a gigantic understatement.

If this project isn't ending until august, that works very well for me, as I can work on it a little bit at a time over the next few months. I absolutely intend to participate this time.

answering some questions here as I couldn't this weekend, AHS was working soo bad!!

No, there's no deadline for the users, only for the staff/crew that are doing graphics and so.. even if we don't know when we will deliver it to Ayu it's better to have done all we can to not hurry at the last minute ^^ From the 1st of september onwards we will keep receiving clips and subtitling them until we know when to deliver it, then it will be finished ^^

as spanishfan said to you, you can do it with pics, or ask a friend, even though, you have time! A LOT OF TIME!! there's no deadline, so if you know you'll be able to record in some time, you can wait ^^

maybe your e-mail can't upload a huge file like that, so you can upload it with megaupload, mediafire, rapidshare and so... and put the link in teh e-mail ^^

you can record it in portuguese!! it's better !! but send teh english translation with it!

well.. the bonus DVD will be left until we'll have the main part done, or when we'll have clear how we'll do the main part, after that we can talk about it.


I'll update information of what we (DVD crew lol) are talking about and what's going on, also I'll make important info very clear in the next update and the first post (as who is receiving the clips and the "deadline" thing)

^exactly, the deadline will be announced when we will know WHEN we can deliver it to Ayu. For example... next January suddenly we know she is comming to Germany. We will already have the box, covers, menu, intro video animations done... so we will end subtitling the last messages, record thew DVD and deliver to Ayu. So, some days before we know we can give it to Ayu we will stop accepting clips ^^

Even if there is no deadline I think it would be better for of us all making our videos soon to avoid unexpected problems...

EDIT: btw...about the DVD region, you can easily make them region-free. they would play in any DVD player. i do it all the time.

I want to participate however I don't know what I'm going to do for my clip just yet.

Um... I was hoping someone can help me on this because I'm not sure what language would be best for me to use in the clip? I mean I'm fluent in Vietnamese (so IDK if it would be better to do it in Vietnamese) but the thing is I'm from the US so should I just use English? Because I know there are fans on this forum that are from Vietnam, and I also know a decent amount of Japanese to actually put it in the clip so I can use that too.

Another question I have is which DVD my clip would be in? Are we generalizing everyone from the US in the North America DVD? I don't think mine would be in the North America one because I'm from Hawaii which is technically in the Pacific/Oceania.

I've never tried before to find out where she stays when she comes here, if she comes to Hawaii around the time the DVD are done I can probably deliver it. (But she usually comes here during the summer doesn't she? So I don't think the timing would be right. However just to keep that option open if you wanted it delivered to her in Hawaii)

Hey, guys, I got an idea. It might be a bit crazy but I'll tell you XD

At the end there will be the credits, right? So I've though of making a video of ALL OF US to be watched in the credits part (I don't know if you know what I mean, no technical language XD)

I though of:

1- a making of video, with snippets of outtakes of the fans' recording or something.
2- a lipdub made by her fans of any Ayu's song! We could even arrange meetings in our cities with other Ayufans to make it a huge thing!

(Please, tell me if I have to explain it better LOL)

But all that should go to the BONUS DVD which will be left to the end. You know, the purpose of this DVD is the messages , when we will have the message thing organized then all ideas are welcome!! and I can imagine a huge BONUS DVD full of covers, fan made PV and things like that ^^But first focus on the message!!

This whole project is an excellent idea, but if there'll be too many people involved wouldn't be this video too long? Don't get me wrong, I want everybody to get into this project, but we should think about ayu. Will she watch this for a couple of hours??

And I agree wholeheartedly on the lipdubbing for Who... Or even better, all of us actually singing it, and then we compile all the voices together, make us sound like a chorus, the way the audience does in the concerts when they sing poker face to her <3 To make it easy, maybe we could like, let the instrumental play, and then all of us would appear for the final chorus or something...

For the lipdubbing, I was imagining all the tiny videos compiled on one screen, from all the different countries in the world singing Who... together. *sigh* That would be amazing. Thinking about this is making me cry already, haha. I definitely hope this project would be a success!

* Hatix has received an e-mail from an australian girl who says that she would be able to translate everything to japanese for the subtitles, so well I still doesn't have a comfirmation about this but it seems that finnaly we will have japanese subs!! STILL send the english text with your clip!!! That girl will translate fron you english texts!

wow, I think it would make ayu cry T____T there's a lot of idea.. lipping the song, singing ourselves, alone, alltogether... pff... I think i like the idea of a lot of small window with everyone's face singing together who... and keep changing.. I don't knwo how many people would want to do the who... thing but if we are a lot it's imposible to make 5 words per person cause we would need a 30 minute long song XDD

I understand there would be a lotttt of us. Just have all of us sing, and then the editing team could always just select some parts. I would love to volunteer to do this if only I have the right software. So far, I only have audacity and Sony Vegas, and I still need to explore it hmmm.

I don't know, I just think Ayu would be watching the credits with the Who... instrumental, and then she would be (pleasantly) surprised when she hears all of us sing at the end~! I was just so touched when everyone started singing Who... during her AT08 MC for her 10th anniversay, and I wished we could do something like that.

I hope we could all get a copy of the finalised DVD as well, upload the .avi or .vob, haha.
