I remember watching Ayashi no ceres...and one of the characters, I think it was Oba Q, mentioned Ayumi Hamasaki...she said something like,"why are you looking at me? is it because I'm as beautiful as Ayumi hamasaki?"hahaha I just can't find the exact clip though...

So today (well...right now anyway) I'm watching episodes 13 + 14 which are the newest episodes (aired in the middle of last week I believe) of the Taiwanese show Gloomy Salad Days AKA Death Girl and...



I was surprised; I was all laid back, just watching calmly when I read that I jumped haha

Oh and the line that followed that was, "It looked really really nice!!"

And then in the rest of the scene they kept doing nails and such, and one of them said, "If we stick the gem in the middle it looks more stylish" and somebody else said "like Ayumi Hamasaki!"



With two Ayu references in two minutes of one episode, it makes me wonder how many other references there could've been to her in all the other eps I didn't see haha

A lot of Taiwanese shows including variety shows seem to love to namedrop Ayu / Bin Qi Bu. I always seem to hear it once in a while when watching them.

Yeah she also says it in the english translated manga im pretty sure. At least they did in the first press of it

There's this Taiwanese variety show called University and they invite college students on the show and they all have a nickname~
Well this one guy's nickname is "Bin Qi Bu", but just with different characters than Ayu's~

Few years ago I happened to watch some document about Japan. They never mentioned it, but I definitely saw a Ayu poster on one of the huge buildings. It was from Tokyo, and the document dated back to 2002. I haven't had no luck trying to find that picture but she was promoting something though I know I have seen it before somewhere on the net. It wasn't a album though, it was a promotional poster for something.

Btw, document mentioned something about japanese people going to clubs to release the stress after work. I'm so sad that I don't even remember its name. >.>

Taiwanese drama "The Rice Family" has ayu. One of the daughters in the family has a couple of ayu posters taped up on her bedroom wall, so it makes an appearance in quite a few episodes. I think it was the Secret and BLUE BIRD posters. :D

In Batam (Indonesia), there's a karaoke house in a shopping mall called Nagoya Hill. And they put Ayu's Secret booklet (JEWEL page) picture on its wall. Really huge. I wanted to take a picture but I am not daring to do it (don't know why~)
Actually I went there for holiday.

And on my last holiday to Singapore, my mom picked 3 handbags for $10 and they got a handbag which has Ayu's Mirrorcle World printed in it! I told my mom and sis, and they bought that one. LOL~

And then, I ever watched a TV program which discussed about "animal-human", and they put ayu's ayu-mi-x III nonstop version picture. :lol:

In Finnish drama called "Salatut Elämät" [Secret Lifes] There was once this character called Oona, who was a fan of Japan, and in one episode, ayu was mentioned : D

I remember i saw a namie amuro shirt someone was wearing in the cinema and i asked them about it and told them about it and i went to the shop she got it from and told them and the manager said she had no clue and that she was quite upset someones image had been used unlawfully.

Just makes you think if your image had been stolen and posted up somewhere around the world and you never knew about it!

I'm pretty sure Ayu knows about her image being used for shirts anyway. I know someone posted to her a picture of some shirts they found in Spain I believe with her image on them and Ayu loved them. I don't think she has too much of a problem with that at least. I do wonder how she would feel about being used in ads for fur coats, car companies, etc. without being asked.

These are some picture I took yesterday, I was lining up in concert hall to wait to buy goods at Yoyogi stadium (Tokyo, Japan) and suddenly seeing a lot of cars decorate with Ayu pictures in the street. I heard from a girl behind that because today (I mean Dec 31st) is Ayu concert so a lot of fans decorate their cars with Ayu pictures to show their love for her. They are really awesome, I think it's great if show the world the love Japanese give her.
