"Jump!" - GIRL NEXT DOOR :laugh but without the exclamation point, lol.

Same here, lol. It's the only title that's bothering me, because it sounds so goofy and random. Somehow, even more so than something like STEP you. :innocent

Anyone give a thought to this...? What if that new TA exclusive song is called "THE" and it's to THE introduction as Mirror was to Mirrorcle World?

THE introduction could mean like an introduction for THE. haha

If you do it with every release like you have so far, no you can't.

Last Links actually seems like a beautiful title imo.

Last Links = Last Connections = the last bonds that one felt with a person... etc.

As I made that post I was trying to think of something cool THE could stand for if that ended up being the case, but I couldn't. xDD That would actually be super amazing if something like that happened.

THE introduction, count down, and montage sound like interludes. Maybe meaning of love? But that does sound like the ballad track as its been put next to You were... It may just be 3 interludes this time.

100% agree with everything.

I love Red Line (Especially this new "album version"! So excited) and I also think meaning of Love is a full track.

I'm really excited about this tracklist!! OMG I'm soo glad I pre-ordered! I won't hope for the lyrics.. but if I get a sheet, I will DIE :tipsy

This is the first time I've commented on how unoriginal the title was for one of her songs. Of course, I did it with BALLAD since that was obvious. But I don't want you or I to drag this any further. So let's just leave it at that k? k

Lol at the Last Links = Sausage comment.

haha. Yeah. Last Links is definitely something like that, imo. The "last links" or like th said, "connections" to someone/something.

I can understand why some people think it sounds funny too though, cause if you try to look at it from a weird pov, you could think it meant something like last sausage links or something. xDD

? I think I'm missing something here cause I really don't understand this sausage thing.

I think Last Links sounds very beautiful! A lot more beautiful than other ballad titles like CAROLS or Curtain Call.

I'm very, very happy about the tracklist! :) (except JUMP! but I don't wanna complain xD hoping it'll be an interlude.. hehehe)

Another name for "sausages" is links here in America... they call them sausage links and links for short.

For me, I think "Linkshell" / connecting with people... Links make me think more video games and the internet as opposed to sausage, haha.

It does make sense though... like Load of the SHUGYO was... uh... huh?

Yeah... it's beautiful! Last Links could be a ballad referring to the last times she remembers connecting with someone on a personal level or something.

There is imo. Load of the SHUGYO...

SHUGYO = training
Load of the SHUGYO = Load of the training = a lot of the training, haha.

Lady dynamite must be great.. OMG..
HURRRAYYY RED LINE included...
I guess Jump! will be a staple song in the future.
I thought she would have Rock 'n' Roll Circus track. so this is the 3rd album after RAINBOW and MY STORY which the album title not a title track

The song could definitely be very beautiful, but the title doesn't resonate beauty to me. Last connection / Broken Link something like that would sound better to me but Last Links sounds odd when I say it xD;

These are my predictions for interludes:

Obviously, THE intro
count down
Jump!

possible: meaning of love or montage

Overall I like the track titles except for Lady Dynamite maybe cause Lady anything these days makes me think of GaGa.

I think either Sunset or Ballad should have been left off the album though - that's one boring ballad section back to back that I will probably skip a lot.

nanakopy87 17th March 2010 01:16 AM

i think montage is interlude.based on the name :irked

TITANIC 17th March 2010 01:17 AM

I still wish 1 of the track is the extended version of Bridge to the sky. I want extended version of that song sooooooooo bad

Ayumiko 17th March 2010 01:17 AM

wow tracklist already?!! and yay for red line!...and no album track this time. I really hope there will be more than 1 rock song!

01.THE introduction (interlude with some lyrics)
02.Microphone
03.count down (interlude I think) rock to slow like reverse version of Pieces of SEVEN
04.Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~
05.BALLAD
06.Last Links
07.montage (interlude I think)
08.Don't look back
09.Jump! (This should be a full track)
10.Lady Dynamite
11.Sexy little things
12.Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~
13.meaning of Love (Please let this be a full track!)
14.You were...
15.RED LINE ~for TA~ [album version]

01.THE introduction
02.Microphone

11.Sexy little things
12.Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~
13.meaning of Love
14.You were...
15.RED LINE ~for TA~ [album version]

the bold song sounds like an interlude considering the them of the songs before and after

Jump! remind me of ELT's song, and meaning of us remind me of namie's the meaning of us, i guess i was thinking too much XD

*DIES*

after all this waiting now everything comes out so soon!!!
I wont comment the titles cause its stupid to judge a book by its cover.

Cant wait to hear the songs (and interludes lol)!

Picaflor 7/4 17th March 2010 01:24 AM

how do we know again that lower case songs are interludes? an assumption? cause thinking about it off the top of my head, pieces of SEVEN, Not yet, Catcher in the Light, and Mirror, are all interludes and aren't all lower case.

mobius 17th March 2010 01:26 AM

Nice. the tracklist cameout

Can't wait until the album to be release next month!

thanks for the post

duque 17th March 2010 01:38 AM

does anybody remember if we got the length of the songs before the release of NL? I only remember that for GUILTY and it was like 1 or 2 weeks before the release...

lol as usual ahs is sooo bipolar when something new comes out...sooo judgemental etc thats just never going to end lol

I do hope there is a rockish kind of ballad and a second power ballad XD

I saw truehappiness mentioned something like "maybe there is a secret track" with all the surprises that ayu has been adding to the release I do hope for a secret track!!!!!

I thought it wasnt going to be possible ...but... I got sooo much more excited lol! cant wait!!!!!!

Tony G 17th March 2010 01:47 AM

the new track not included in the album and given to TA members only is like a 16th track anyway, unless she releases it further down the track as a single.

It might be like an "album b-side"

truehappiness 17th March 2010 01:50 AM

No no, when I said the secret track thing, I meant it in reference to something that could be in RED LINE ~for TA~ after the song ends...

The new song probably has nothing to do with the album, which is why it was left off.

Misa-chan 17th March 2010 02:01 AM

I'm seeing last links as an interlude though, since it's going to be the ending theme for a news broadcast show...

truehappiness 17th March 2010 02:03 AM

Hm, I wonder what the ending theme for the news program is right now....

Let's check!

aura~ 17th March 2010 02:04 AM

ah! so that's it?? cause I searched the thing in brakets and I thouhg: no, it can't be a NEWS program!

it's that: http://www.tbs.co.jp/houtoku/???

truehappiness 17th March 2010 02:05 AM

Yes. I mentioned it about 7 pages ago, haha. I think.

Utada Hikaru's Fight The Blues was an ending theme for this program as well.

Foyuki 17th March 2010 02:06 AM

Maybe there will be some reference too
Just like NEXT LEVEL----RAINBOW

aura~ 17th March 2010 02:07 AM

Wow! xd NEVER EVER expected a song from ayu in a News program LOL

well.. that song from Utada, is a full song ^^ with lyrics, so Last Links can be soo too ^^

truehappiness 17th March 2010 02:10 AM

Wait a minute, I just looked at the wiki for the program and Fight the Blues is STILL the opening theme... with no ending theme...

Does this mean that both Ayu and Utada will have a tie-up to this newscast?!

aura~ 17th March 2010 02:17 AM

wow, amazing XD hahaha they need songs from both queens of j-pop for their program XD I wonder if after one year they will still have ayu's song XD

What kind of names are First Love and DEEP RIVER anyway? They're horrible! I'm not wasting my money on those! Definitely a download for both.

Wanna see some really unoriginal titles of an album I'd probably never buy?
Spoiler:
1. "Fight the Blues" 4:10
2. "Heart Station" 4:36
3. "Beautiful World" 5:17
4. "Flavor of Life ~Ballad Version~" 5:25
5. "Stay Gold" 5:14
6. "Kiss & Cry" 5:06
7. "Gentle Beast Interlude" 1:13
8. "Celebrate" 4:26
9. "Prisoner of Love" 4:46
10. "Teiku 5 (テイク 5, Take 5?)" 3:42
11. "Boku wa Kuma (ぼくはくま, I'm a Bear?)" 2:23
12. "Niji-iro Basu (虹色バス, Rainbow-colored Bus?)" 5:50
13. "Flavor of Life [Bonus Track]" 4:46

jk, I think.

-wink-

I honestly don't think you were going to buy this album even if the titles were amazing, haha. I suppose it's easy to read when you basically spell it out from the start with such disgust at the Rock'n'Roll Circus concept for no reason whatsoever.

To be honest, I think that not choosing to buy an album that you are considering to purchase just because of the track titles is probably one of the most immature things someone can do...

almost every singer has done the same thing

Nice tracklist, Ayu. XD

I don't know, I don't think I'm going to judge the titles this time. Previous experiences has taught me so. For example, I cringed at Load of the SHUGYO but it ended up as very, very EPIC <3

Of course, I'm still gonna buy this album. It's the only way I'll be able to listen to the songs. NO, NO LEAKS FOR ME!

Ayumiko 17th March 2010 02:49 AM

^not listening to leaks will definitely be extremely hard for me...XD

I wonder if there will really be 4 interludes...Mirror had lyrics in the booklet..BUT Not Yet didn't

emi♡ 17th March 2010 02:55 AM

Interesting. I like the look of it, and the look of the songs together.

I even like Lady Dynamite lol The titles are funny...I guess that's why I like them.

The only one I don't like, is meaning of LOVE...but if it's an interlude...then ooo...

I think true is right about the interludes...although for some reason I wish montage is a whole song. Seems like it would be cool, but it is most likely an interlude, especially if Last Links is an actual song as it has a tie in.

theSKYBLUETIES 17th March 2010 03:02 AM

I love this tracklist! Hopefully all the songs are what I expect and so far, so good! :D

I can't wait to hear Lady Dynamite! XD

AyUta 17th March 2010 03:04 AM

Aw, DEEP RIVER :(. You haven't heard the songs yet...

dzinup 17th March 2010 03:04 AM

Nice tracklist!!

Aozora 17th March 2010 03:15 AM

I have no opinion about the titles :). I don't think they're by any means her prettiest titles, but neither was Sparkle (in my opinion) and I love that song, so I can't judge based on the track list. I'm sure they'll grow on me. Sexy little things already has and I hated that title at first xD.

I wonder if the Don't look back PV is the one with the ballad-like PV. In the ViVi thing weren't there pictures of her in a white dress sitting at a table? I don't see this PV matching with any song except Don't look back and even that is a tough match.

yamadashun 17th March 2010 03:18 AM

wow!

IMO, and i hope so, that the interludes are:

THE introduction (with short lyrics)
montage (OMG but i love this title to be a full song)
meaning of LOVE (Namie?!)

i do hope that Jump! is a full song, though.

Yes. It is Don't look back.

Lady Dynamite was the gay!nightclub PV with lollipops and Sexy little things/Microphone are the two London-connected PVs.

Don't preach about maturity and then act like a little child and bash another artist just because someone doesn't conform to your opinion. It only upsets people who like that artist and have done nothing to deserve having that artist bashed :).

This. Grow up, stans. I personally love the titles, but holy crap, when was it illegal to have an opinion?

Not buying the album simply because you aren't satisfied with the titles is not an opinion, but simply just being an idiot imo.

Stan is a disgusting word that should be reserved for YouTube commenters under the age of 13 and ONTD. Anyone who uses it imo should not be taken seriously because obviously they couldn't come up with anything else to describe someone who feels passionately about something.

primavera♥ 17th March 2010 03:22 AM

its not like anyone was like "oh ur so horrid!!!! buy the album. dont judge on titles" not liek that. . .partially because no one cares that much, swethearts

its just out there and mostly considered illogical. *shrugs* not my problem. i havent been on these forums long enough to see such illogical comments to that degree. but maybe theyve made amazing purchases based off tracklists. u never know a persons past :)

personally i cant buy the album at the moment *sigh* i really wanna hear the tracks like now. i just wanna see how this whole shabang is put together

truehappiness 17th March 2010 03:24 AM

Think about it this way. What if I went to the store and looked for CDs to buy, and judged them on how the tracks were named?

"Ew?! Why is this so generic?! Not buying. Why do all the titles in this place suck?!" In my eyes, you should at the very least sample the music via previews (iTunes Previews? Woo?) before deciding on whether or not you will buy an album...

There's still a possibility of a hidden track called A WORLD IS ONE or something, haha.

Anyone who attacks others for having different opinions than them shouldn't be taken seriously, either. :innocent

Fair enough. I do enjoy the tracklist actually, I think it's one of the most exciting ones she's had in quite some time.

I don't think you really understood what was going on since this has been a bit of an ongoing thing, but it ends here. And if what I was doing was attacking, then I'm sorry, but I'm not going to take back something when someone is so insultingly rude to an artist who works so hard to please her fans. If you don't even listen to an album and decide it's not worth purchasing (in the case that you even bother wanting to listen to that artist anyway) it's just not logical.

Akutenshi 17th March 2010 03:31 AM

-yawn-

I'm quite excited for "Lady Dynamite." For some reason, it makes me think of BoA's "Lady Galaxy", only a thousand times better.

truehappiness 17th March 2010 03:33 AM

I just think, "You've been a very very bad girl, Lady Dynamite..." and Ayu in the ***** Wagon, haha.

But that's the thing - that is often what the make or break deal is for someone buying an album especially if they are just a regular person and not a hardcore fan. The title, covers, tracklist etc are all things that help consumers to decide to buy or not. If someone doesn't like the tracklist, covers, title etc., often times they are not going to take the time to even listen to the tracks because they have already been turned off. On the other hand, if the cover, title and tracks are appealing, they are far more likely to say "oh this looks interesting, let me listen and then maybe I will buy."

Gotcha. It just struck a nerve when you kind of attacked Utada (whom I love to deah) for no reason because DEEP RIVER associates himself with her.

One can only hope Ayu decided to go all electropop ala "Lady Galaxy" or "Telephone", haha.

truehappiness 17th March 2010 03:40 AM

It's okay. The nerves are always struck here at AHS when people basically stuff Ayu into the trashcan, haha.

Lady Dynamite will probably be a clubbing song, haha. (She's in a gay nightclub after all in a mirror ball dress!)

I wonder if that happened with (miss)understood...

I think most casual consumers buy albums if they've heard a song they like off of it somewhere random or if friends play the songs often nowadays... I wonder if anyone has been convinced in the CD stores to buy an Ayu album based on the PVs/etc that they show...

Akutenshi 17th March 2010 03:41 AM

Yes yes yes, I hope so. NEXT LEVEL did not provide enough hot electropop for my liking, though what it did have was flawless, in my eyes. :heart

Your first point, they were merely pointing out that Utada's titles aren't exactly the most ingenious things ever (but in my opinion, the actual MUSIC is some of the most ingenious stuff ever; same with Lady GaGa's music. Lame titles? Yes. Great music? Yes), and perhaps unworthy of purchase. Basically, if you're going to call out an artist on "lame" titles, better look at other titles and see how they match up.

As for your second point, she has gone electropop. While it was quite video-game oriented, NEXT LEVEL was an electropop album.

---

That aside, again, all I can hope for on this album is that I love it.

Sparkle + rollin' = yes. NEXT LEVEL was borderline. EnergizE? no. Other than those 4 tracks, though, I can't think of anything too electro at all (not including interludes). Maybe some synth elements in Rule and identity, but those are very much rock songs. LOVE 'n' HATE is just... itself. xD

I just want a REAL, cohesive electropop album. Not a few tracks here or there.

I call L'n'H... diva skank pop. I can just imagine Ayu all wet and swinging her hair around being flashed around in slow motion in the beginning of the song. And she'd be counting down after that... and there'd be a lot of strutting and Ayu!ferociousness.

I don't, to be quite honest. I get enough of that from capsule, Perfume, GaGa, and other artists.
