I'm not a HUGE fan of Kazu.... but I LOVE GREEN and Mirrorcle World!

Yeah, his PVs for Ayu are actually very entertaining, though he is not such a good director. My favorite of them is GREEN, too.

Ohhh, everyone seems to love Sparkle....(^_^);;; I...was never really liking that PV very much... :innocent

IMO, I think it could have been better if she wasn't making the movements and wearing that wig... (^_^);;; I'm not saying that it was badly directed, just that Kazu could have made it a bit better in my opinion :yes

Tbh, I never was able to get into GREEN either... *feels bad*

Oh! But I still love Mirrorcle World and Lady Dynamite! :heart

I really like Shimoko's PVs, especially Lady Dynamite and GREEN! Think people are a bit unfair to his work due to his behavior, and people should just chill out, it's not like they have to be around him. =P

He makes an entertaining PV. Can't say any of his PVs are "boring". But I wouldn't say any of them were perfect either. Each has major flaws.

Sparkle + Lady Dynamite - Ayu looks really uncomfortable. Her movements look so forced. She looks good in Sparkle though, you can't go past a skin tight spandex suit. In Lady Dynamite, the lollipop scenes are really well done. That's about it to these videos.

Mirrorcle World + GREEN - Both had great ideas behind them but were poorly executed. He can't tell a story. To the naked eye these videos are just a bunch of random scenes pasted together.

Favourite is probably Mirrorcle World. Lots to look at. Visually its a nice PV.

Yeah, but I don't watch those for the "story." I watch them for the pretty. *_*

I think GREEN had a great story, and Lady Dynamite too, to an extent. I feel both of these are completely coherent. His four are also visually stunning, which is not weird considering he's a photographer.

And frankly, where's the story in NEXT LEVEL, decision or Talkin' 2 myself or poker face? All of these are PVs I like and think are nice, but I wouldn't really say any of them are anything but random scenes.

The thing about his PV's is that AYU has to do all the work. That's not necesarily a bad thing, and it also shows Ayu's amazing talent to entertain people.

I mean.. Mirrorcle World PV, that was all down to Ayu. She was fierce, fab and gorgeous, but he didn't really add anything. He just put her in a phonebooth.

I don't hate him though :) But I don't particularly like him either. I'm neutral! :laugh he's okay! I enjoy his PV's.

ugh Kazu. my favorite PV of his is Lady Dynamite and it's only cos Shu-ya & Maro were so hot in it and it was a gay club setting.

I like Mirrorcle World, and I respect him for that...but I think he ruined what could have been an amazing video (GREEN) and made an appalling video that just made me dislike him even more (Lady Dynamite).

Why there are people saying they dislike Kazu on the "Kazu lovers thread"? @_@

I really like MW, of course ppl say the walking scenes are too boring/diva ish but that's why I love it. She looks so good in everything.

LD is hot, but not my thing. Lol Ive been to gay clubs before! :P
GREEN is nice, except ayu dressing like a peacock. LOL

Lol I wonder why ppl say his work sucks when you get Wataru, one of Ayu's best directors directing sunrise/sunset... lol... That must be fun for them. :P

Aww, I liked the Sunrise/Sunset PVs. They didn't have a theme, either, and I love the shots in the Sunset PV.

BUT THAT IS FOR ANOTHER THREAD. XD I get what you're saying, though.

Because Sunrise and Sunset are much better than Lady Dynamite! At least Sunrise and Sunset is nice to watch, and Lady Dynamite just makes me sick. And watching Kazu in makings is really impossible task for a straight guy! MW and GREN was okay, but I rewatched Sunrise and Sunset much more than Sparkle and Lady Dynamite.
I think he is just killing Ayu's image for a straight guys audience. :grumpy

Meh Sparkle is good, caught my eye. I mean i'd show it to someone.
Lady Dynamite on the other hand....

I notice that whenever Ayu is with him, she stretches her face and makes so many fake expressions (refer to mirrocle world glass booth, lady dynamite when she waits in line, green when she is walking through the crowd...)

A lot of those moments could have been perfected but I guess its fine the way it is...
Also its really noticable that his takes have NO transition what so ever.

For instance in some of her other latest PV's, like You Were... and Sexy Little Things, it all goes together well. The consistency in the scenes is good...

But with Kazu he tends to use more choppy transitions. (the clash of purple and browns in GREEN) (the red dress parts dont really transition well into the glass booth...)(as well in mirrocle world, i dont find her sternness in the beginning matches the end where she does the chin-up)

otherwise he did good in sparkle :). hhaha

A lot of Ayu's listeners are gay... And I'm sure she doesn't think that way if she agreed to have that PV made. If you feel Lady Dynamite is a threat to your image because you like Ayu... Well... Then that's perhaps something you need to deal with on your own.

which i loved LD. funfunfun. decent enough. if one wants to get all technical like were in film school then whatever. let it be :)

I LOVE all kazu pv, expt sparkle..
but sometimes his photoshoot make his model look a like plasyic doll @_@

Actualy I show this PV to friends like "look, some stupid japanese director made Kylie Minogue from Ayu", it's just a pity that I can't watch it till the end >.<

sparkle is good, i liked it more when it first came out, now im a bit over it. but still entertaining :D

green isn't my favorite, but the colors are great. scenery too!

and for mirrorcle world, the boudoir scenes and the feathery scenes are amazing.


*my problem with him and ayu is just his still photography. it always lacks emotion--but pv wise, i dont get that upset when i hear he's directing the PV or anything :P
