I REALLY wanted the GRAVITY/Now&Forever single to be real. I was pumped for that single before it was even announced. Alas...

Also, the ridiculous G and m(u) tracklistings. I remember liking a lot of the m(u) ones before getting the official news. At one point, the real tracklisting popped up and I thought it was surely another dud. It was practically my least favorite among all the rumors. I mean, it had a shallow-sounding title like "Ladies Night". That could never be a good Ayu song, right...?

The ones I remember off the top of my head are Memories (Moments b-side) and CARNIVAL. I remember loving CARNIVAL so much that when My Story was announced I was so disappointed. :laugh

I recall Memories was just a mistyped "Moments" on HIKARI's site, haha. Would that really count as a rumor since HIKARI messed up when updating his official site?

Of course there was the classic "egg" rumor... gosh, that's yearsssss old!

I remember the first rumor I actually fell for was when I first joined the message board, and that Ayu was going to release a single called "drift" haha.

Other silly rumors... people were in a panic that Ayu was pregnant around when she released "moments" because of the flow-y dresses she wore. Rumors also around that time that she was going to release a nude photobook, hah.

I also heard a rumor that around when RAINBOW was released, Ayu made fun of a wheelchair-bound fan who was at her concert and tried to make him stand up or something? lol... so horrible...

There's actually an explanation for that. I think at CDL01-02 [or was it 00-01?], she was wondering why someone in the front row was sitting (it was one of her friends) and she told them to stand up for some reason. Apparently, 2ch (a Japanese BBS) started a rumor that it was a wheelchair bound fan but it was soon proven wrong, haha.

There's a video of the clip on YouTube. It has a ton of views!

I remember Now & Forever/Gravity... around the time BLUE BIRD was announced, and people thinking she got knocked up by Tomoya around the time of JEWEL xD I also remember that they were talks of them getting married at the end of '07 :(

I remember around the time I joined or a little bit before reading on another forum for several pages about a rumored single called One's All/Claim. That actually sounds nice and Ayu-ish.

There is an explenation for "Butterfly" "by" Ayumi

It's a DDR song (dont remember the name of artist now) and when you putted Ayumi Hamasaki on KaZZa or any program that was popular 5-or more years ago, it was labelled by Ayu. By the people who didnt know Ayu of couse. And it became very recent, even my bf's sister had this song on mp3 labelled as Ayumi Hamasaki. Dunno even why they labelled this song like that.

I remember all of those! I never believed the nude photobook rumors, but I really kind of did believe she was pregnant.

And I'm glad that I'm not the only one who remembers Drift.
