I'm aware that looking through threads is annoying, but that's kind of why everything's stuck on the first page of those threads, so that people are able to find information without having to do that.

i wish this announcement came years earlier. i still remember i made an information thread a year or two ago, then everyone was dissatisfied that i made the thread instead of a certain AHS member. people said my thread is not as good because that certain member could not update the first post with even newer information. it was as if i have infringed the RIGHT of that certain member to make a thread. then that certain member made the exact same thread later and mine got into the trash bin.

after this i refuse to make any new information threads because i dont wanna get bullied.

I like this much better. Just went through some grief with that several days ago. :P

I agree! I love the excitement as you anxiously click and watch the new covers pop up!!

I thought I'll like the CD+DVD cover with bigger HQ pic but.. I still don't like it :shrug

Yeah, as Calico said, the rule's been around for a while. As for the L covers, I don't know. I haven't been following the official thread (shocker!!), but maybe someone else can shed some light on this...


Yeah, at least half the mods found out about the covers through a reported post. Can't say any of us we very happy. :no I understand that it's in the first page of the official thread, but unless we check it everyday we don't know if there's new info.


No no. It's just a thread for the crossroad covers. You can discuss the covers if you want, or if you want to talk about the new thread rule I guess that'd be fine too. The point is that we want people to know about it.


I personally like the first cover the best, the full-body shot one. I'm not a big fan of the head-shot one... :no

the one where she has the sunglasses in her mouth if offensive (lol kidding), but it's my least fav, her face looks artificially elongated

I don't know, I always enjoyed opening a spoiler to dramatically first lay my eyes on new covers. In any case, bring on the thread stampede!

covers aren't what I expected, but they're still very nice :)

My only issue with the covers is the font - it's just so dull. :)

I find official threads are useful when I haven't had time to follow every bit of news and want to see the current state of things, but like some others in the thread, I also loved the excitement of seeing a thread for new covers/the first preview clip and clicking on it. So I too think it would be great if from now on we could have both the informative official threads and the exciting news threads that mean you can see right away that something important has been released.

Awesome...now it'll be easier to keep up. I hope when news of L comes out, new threads will be put out as well

Yea I'm the same way, in defense of the big official threads it's nice to have everything in the first post so you don't have to look through a bunch of different news threads for updates like bigger covers, better quality of song previews, etc, etc.

It's also good for future references if you look back at a single release, without the big threads the news threads get scattered all over the forum because of people commenting at different times.

But, I don't check the big threads every day for news, it's not that much fun looking at the first post through a bunch of stuff only to realize there's nothing new yet again. I was one of the mods who found out through a reported post, someone was commenting on the cover and I was like "what?? what covers??" It was only about 6 hours after they came out I think, but still, it's more the principle of it.

But no one likes to wait for you to update it. You're not 24/7 on AHS and it's impossible to post some stuff in the same time it came out. It'd be impossible to anyone who makes those threads.

exactly! but when you find out in an "official" thread usually i see people mentioning their thoughts on the new cover and then i have to keep clicking back thru 3, 4, 5 or even more pages to actually see the cover! i realize that the information is collected on the first page too, but many times it isn't there yet when i come along. i love seeing the a new thread saying "new covers" or "new single announced" or whatever...its so exciting!


i know what you mean. i really think these could be ayumi's worst covers ever. i think the one that ayufan- made textless is the best of the three...but its still not a good cover.

of course, i'm one of the few who don't mind the sunrise/sunset covers. :shrug
