more details on the 2nd album

Hip-hop duo Hilcrhyme has been quite busy lately, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, they have just announced the release of their second full album for November 24th.

They released their first full album, “Recital,” back in January, and it became an instant hit. It sold over 350,000 copies, and for the first half of 2010, it was ranked number 17 in album sales. Fans have since been anxiously waiting news of a follow-up album, and their wishes are about to come true.

The as-of-now untitled release will contain such hits as their “Yankee to Megane-chan” theme, “Loose Leaf,” “Daijoubu,” and “Travel Machine.” In total, the album will contain thirteen songs.

Hilcrhyme’s new album will be available in CD regular and CD + DVD versions. The DVD version will come packaged with the music videos for “Daijoubu,” “Loose Leaf,” and “Travel Machine.”

The duo is currently preparing for their biggest tour yet, and it’s scheduled to take them to 22 cities across Japan.

so I guess there will be 10 new songs ? I really hope some B-sides will be included

like East Area , Hikari *__*

350.000 copies? That's great! Oricon only reported 210.000 ^^

I'm really excited for this. I hope they add some reggae-flavored songs like you could find on their indies debut.

I remember when I first listened to them I thought they sounded familiar but couldn't think where i'd heard them, then couple of weeks ago I was watching Yankee-kun & Megane-chan :D

xD

well Katrina you have to admit , if not for DAIGO & his Kuraimu lingo , I wouldn't bothered to check out Hilchyme in the 1st place xD

Remembered BREAKERZ's maiden performance at last Nov's MUSIC STATION where they did LOVE FIGHTER ?

Hilchyme returned back to perform their breakthrough hit Shukashutou for the 2nd time so I assume it's around that time DAIGO became a fan of the duo 8D

I doubt if it wasn't for him talking about them, I wouldn't have looked them up beyond Loose Leaf

KarenPang 7th October 2010 09:45 AM

no thanks to what he wrote about them @ http://community.livejournal.com/breakerz/141788.html , I wouldn't discovered Hicrhyme to begin with xD

i've still not listened to time machine, its been sitting on my computer waiting to be listened to

KarenPang 7th October 2010 10:00 AM

Time Machine is really catchy . Too bad this time round , the only live performance I seen of the duo doing was on CDTV & not MUSIC STATION .__.

I like it when my fandoms collide with each other :D . I'm waiting for the day when TOC & DAIGO get together to sing/rap , that will be awesome

but I don't want another P.A.R.M's Scramble reject 'song' ~_~ xD

I love it when my fandoms collide too

I said before that i'd like to hear brz hilchryme collaboration, i think it'd be interesting to hear what they'd produce together.

KarenPang 7th October 2010 10:22 AM

there're 2 collaborations you can find in the duo's debut album Recital

I don't know if their 2nd album will have any but yeah a TOC & DAIGO/BREAKERZ collaboration will be really cool

then again both artistes's haven't done what the other has . Like I haven't heard a Hilcrhyme song that's full blown rock while I haven't heard of a BREAKERZ no. that's hip hop/rap (except those epic Waratte Iitomo 'songs' DAIGO wrote/composed ~_~)

theres been a few collaborations between rock bands and rappers/hip hop
and it seems to work for them.

we probably wouldn't get anything though :grumpy

KarenPang 7th October 2010 11:45 AM

LOL

hey never say never Katrina . If this Hilchryme with BREAKERZ duet ever happens , I will be in hEaVeN :lmfao

TOC & DJ KATSU can be friends with SHINPEI since both of them never took out their sunglasses except the time when TOC did so in their Junya to Manami PV xD

nice word play there

& LOL when I see them i'm always reminded of Shinpi :tipsy

KarenPang 8th October 2010 12:29 AM

yes because of the sunglasses that both TOC & DJ KATSU wore except unlike Shinpi , TOC did removed them in their Junya to Manami PV which shocked me at 1st

because I watched their PVs backwards so xD but sorry to say this but TOC , leave the sunglasses on dude haha you look better in that way ;p

Nackar_91 8th October 2010 08:30 AM

NekoF4 and Karen, your avatars and signatures are so similar I thought for a second that there was just one person her, talking to him/herself XD

KarenPang 8th October 2010 08:52 AM

LOL

blame the bunny ears , not me xD . Besides if I'm talking to myself on here , all the posts of mine will be merged into 1 by the mods ;p

So anyway , their 2nd album will contains 13 songs in total , same as Recital

I'm curious whether will they go all experimental once more as mixing symphony , orchestra & etc with hip hop/rap is tricky business but they did it well
