I agree that his voice is amazing...it's so relaxing...& I love how he has a wide range.

I listened to it a few days ago. It wow'ed me. So many new acts and so much new music that I've discovered over the years and yet, Coldplay is still in the top. Everything they make is so pure and perfect. I would imagine Paradise to one of the new "goosebump-inducing tracks", especially live :luv2 I'm soooo looking forward to this album!

I like Coldplay. (i was just listening to Clocks again. yes, i still listen to it.)

I think the most recent song I've heard by them is that Waterfall song... I should go listen to their other new stuff. *runs off*

I don't know how I feel about this release to be honest. I'm not very moved or impressed. I'm mostly a fan of their first two albums "Parachutes" and "A Rush of Blood to the Head". But I'll give it more time...;)

I can't believe Princess of China has Rihanna in it :o.

^ I'm not judging I actually like Rihanna I was just surprised because her musical style is so much different from Coldplay's. & It's actually my favorite song on the album by far! It's soo good :yes.

I gotta say that Coldplay's style has changed drastically O.O...I kind of miss Parachutes/A Rush of Blood to the Head style, but over all it's a really solid album :yes. It's got a really unique sound to it. I was pretty sure after hearing Every Teardrop is a Waterfall that it was gonna carry the same style as Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, but this album's style is totally different sounding to me. It's not bad at all, but still it makes me a little sad that I can't get those beautiful songs that bring tears to my eyes, such as Trouble, The Scientist, & Fix You. It's not that Coldplay's music is any less meaningful by any means, it's just nowadays it seems to carry more of a 'feel good' vibe imo.

Like half the planet, I've been a Coldplay fan for a long time and they have a very special place in my heart but I haven't been so excited for this album. I'll end up getting it digitally but the cover artwork is really nice...

I feel like they somehow maintain some slightly "depressing" songs, but those are more polished today. The majority of the songs of Mylo Xyloto are very happy and positive. Parachutes was amazing, but the songs were very, very raw and acoustic. X&Y was just the most epic album, beautiful melodies, lyrics that were fantastic, everything was perfect. Mylo Xyloto is like the turn of a page for Coldplay, or so it feels. It's so positive, so bright and beautiful.

I think people (the ones who are being extremely negative with MX) will change their opinions a little bit after it's all "sunk in". Music needs time to marinate sometimes :laugh

I think Mylo Xyloto is close to a masterpiece, but a very different one from their Parachutes/X&Y era.

Definitely true, what you said about musical marination. I usually just have to get used to something I don't like by an artist I love.

A Rush of Blood to the Head is definitely my favorite Coldplay album. Their albums are always just so cohesive and consistently brilliant that they couldn't really fail anyway.

i'm super obsessed with "Princess of China" right now. :P album's pretty good itself, i just need to listen to it when i can really dig into it. i love "Paradise" as well.

Princess of China is gorgeous. Seriously wth, some posers were complaining even before they heard the song because they read Rihanna was in it :shrug

I think my favorite tracks are Charlie Brown and Up in flames, but I love every single song on MX.

I agree. Coldplay may slightly changes from album to album, but they just stay brilliant. Very few groups have impressed the way Coldplay has over the years.

I was just surprised like I said in a previous post. & It's an amazing song, by far my favorite! I think my second favorite is Us Against the World followed by Hurts Like Heaven.
