@title156 I didn't receive my box yet,but i'm happy.I'll have it next week ^_^

you said it much nicer than I could have. lol thanks

It's funny though...people who are able to download a 125gb file (meaning they have the internet connection and hard drive space), should be able to afford the box if they really wanted to. lol

^you're welcome ;) hahaha

Well, I'm currently working through the box. Being honest all the PV's from the A Song for XX and Loveppears era look no better than the DVD counterparts. Even some of the dirt in the picture is still there.

Later PV's are a bit odd. Some look very good (is this LOVE?) almost as if they've been touched up (and are significantly better than the DVD's). Then PV's like fairyland look like an upscale again. It's obvious some of these videos were recorded on significantly better equipment than others.

I'm adamant Green is in HD (Maybe not 1080i though). It looks a HUGE sight better than any of the DVD versions I own. The picture is much brighter and a lot more detail pops. The LOVE Story videos do look a bit soft, but again look very good (It'll sound funny but the detail on Mannie's beard is a lot more detailed)

I'd say it's worth the upgrade if you are a huge Ayu fan and have expendable income as the picture quality of all the PV's are significantly better than the DVD's after the first 2 albums worth. I'd give the picture quality a 7/10.

If anyone was expecting these to be 1080P and a 10/10 picture quality, they really are fooling themselves as music videos simply aren't recorded that way (nor the costs to fully upgrade them. You would be talking about a box set costing well over twice the price)

One final note: The audio quality is much better as well on most PV's post- Whatever. Last Angel you can even hear the echoes in her foot steps in the parking garage. They've certainly made the audio top-notch.

I made a screenshot comparison. You can see difference between DVD and BD.
DVD was upscaled in MPC-HC.

One more screenshot comparison:

As you can see, BD picture is better than DVD!

Why the F is my package still in Japan if it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow? I know there's still time for it to get here, but...smh

well, one of the many reasons why i wanted this is because i can finally delete all of Ayu's PVs off my computer and stop wasting all that space!

So... it's fair, good, beautiful and magical download any album, DVD or leaked song even if it affects the sales. Who cares the sales? Let's spread leaked things! But it's sooooooo unfair, terrible and illuminatti download a compilation of videos which everybody already saw, but with a ~cuestionable~ marvellous quality and """""""exclusive and never seen footage""""""" only because is very expensive.....

People don't seem to be saying that the fact downloading something like this boxset is illegal and does not support the artist. If everyone had that mentality, artists wouldn't release anything new as it would seem no one listened to the artist as they don't sale anything.

It's fair enough that you can't afford the box, but justifying it by using that as an excuse to download it is wrong in my opinion. If it's to sample something, that's okay in my opinion, but to download something with no intention of trialling it before making a purchase is not right.

Mirrorcle World looked okay, as was Marionette. Nothing special but I think both are upscales.

Seems to be that some people are just bend out of shape because they're slowly realizing that this CLIP BOX wasn't what they thought it would be. :roflmao Upscaled PV's.

They shouldn't be like this, they have their super awesome bag.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 5th January 2012 10:06 PM

^^that's not my problem at all. I'm an ayu collector, so I buy everything regardless. I spent $300 on all 4 versions of NEXT LEVEL. That's not the point.

You guys are so SNIPPY! God damn.

Anyways. So, assuming from the posts that these aren't blu ray quality...it would be quite a waste to download them, if you already have HD versions, correct?

Not that I was going to download them, but that seems like the logical conclusion to me.

I really don't care if people upload it or not. I personally don't think it hurts sales at all. But that's just me.

Anyways, I feel bad that even the recent PVs were upscaled...I dont understand why'd they do that. I figured they'd be shooting in HD for a while now :shrug Sorry to whoever might be displeased with the product.

Oh, but elaniel's post seems to possibly make some sense~~ Thanks for that :)

Bummer... :( oh well! Upscaled is better than regular DVD quality. :yes

elaniel 5th January 2012 10:54 PM

Just to note I've watched Another Song and Why... and both seem to be in HD. Probably the two I can tell are definitely HD quality.
