A gag order would not surprise me because Manuel could sell details of their divorce to the media for profit. I think there is enough motivation on Manuel's end, because he doesn't have the money or career that Ayu has, that he could sell the details for quick money. It happens often in Hollywood during divorces, but we don't hear about it. However, whenever a huge name marries someone who isn't that big, there is a necessity to protect the star's image because, unlike in this case Manuel, Ayumi would have a lot to lose by Manny running his mouth to a tabloid or news report. I would not blame Ayumi for requesting a gag order. However, I'm not sure that Manuel really was such a bad person... I just think that Ayumi loved him for some time, realized that she couldn't just leave Japan to build a life and maybe would not want to anyway, and Manny didn't want to build whatever life they could in Japan because he wants to become a star in the US.

I don't think he has any significant talent, apart from looking somewhat attractive, so it's a long shot for Manny, but that's his deal. Either way, I think they both wanted a life together then realized they were destined to take different roads after a short time. I believe that Ayu will always care about Manny, and the same for Manny caring for Ayu... Maybe someday their roads will meet again. However, I respect Ayu's decisions to protect her career and public image. She can't afford a Koda "stale amniotic fluid" kind of issue. Her sales would plummet because the public doesn't think of Ayumi as being as close to reckless as they would, say, with Koda because the ero-kakkoi style is already provocative and there aren't high expectations for respectable behavior from her.

This is overall just sad though. I hate to see two people who love each other fall apart... :(

Actually, Ayu survived a good amount of controverses that could easily kill (or greatly damage) a female singer in Japan over the years...

all the one with girls are gorgeous

the one with men are like porno stills, I don't really like his work /not even a prude, he sucks basically

this rumor is so false, the author isn't even trying lol
though I dunno even if Mannie talked about their relationship, I doubt her longtime Jpn fans who lbr are the majority of her current sales/success would believe him

I wouldn't

I think the major issue is that Ayu has been so private for years (Rightly so, if she wants).

We get scandal on the few times she's been photoed smoking and drinking. It's unlikely they where the only times she drank or smoked but it was out in public ... The Tomoya relationship wasn't ever confirmed until very close to the end, she kept it secret.

There's been a few bits in between, but full details have never been known. Now the issue is someone who can either divulge a lot of info as he was her husband and was privy to that info or someone who can say he married Ayu without her ever divulging any info about herself. Either is no good.
Realistically he will come off bad if he talks, but given he is relatively unknown in his field of work, anyway to make money could work for him.
But maybe, and I'm throwing this out their, they where in love or did become good friends and he won't say anything.
She can't have been stupid enough to not put something in a pre-nup denying certain degrees of shizz talk.

Edit.

Photoed looks wrong, someone correct that spelling LOL

Oh and in relation to the thread title, a gag in that photobook would have made it sell. Just saying.

That's why she's a soccer mom now, right? :laugh

And I'm sure that Ayu still loves Mannie, the way she still loves Nagase. She's just not in love with either of them.

tinka69 18th February 2012 02:14 PM

If you're gagged, you can't talk--think "bound and gagged", when someone is tied up and cannot speak because of something in or over their mouth.

Haha me too. I just imagine him with a gag in his mouth with Ayu in a maid's outfit with a whip like the "Ladies Night" PV :innocent

emi♡ 19th February 2012 06:30 AM

And that's when **** got weird lol

Pieces_of_SEVEN 19th February 2012 08:09 PM

*ignoring the posts about off-topic sexual imagery*

I wouldn't be surprised though...she has to protect herself. Mannie got lucky though, cashing in like that. sigh :/

Angel_Hikaru 21st February 2012 10:47 AM

I don't see all the fuss...if Ayu has money to bling bling her toilet or her multiple cellphones, why not paid his ex husband....I mean, the poor man even told his granny about his marriage.

Is not like He's gonna let Ayu on the street, or that Avex would allow it...

Uemarasan 21st February 2012 02:23 PM

The "rumor" about Ayu divorcing her husband over a nude pictorial smells like something cooked up by the media, particularly the Asian media with their immature notions of human sexuality. Oh my, a semi-nude photoshoot! Let me clutch my pearls. Yeah, right, like someone is actually going to go through divorce over something as trivial and silly as that. They're not in high school, for crying out loud. Unlike Asian tabloid "journalists".

I'm pretty sure there are a pre-nup, gag order, and divorce settlement all in place. Ayu seems like a smart, tough cookie.

The way these tabloids are spinning the story, it's like a nude photobook came out from some sketchy source or some dude that pulled Mannie off the street but they don't seem to realize that they are writing about Leslie Kee who is (in)famous for his nude portraits.

I agree 100%.

Time to move on now kids! lol
