It's always nice to know what her song titles mean.
I always think ayu assembled the whole song first and then read through the lyrics or listen to the melody to figure out a title. In the case of SURREAL, I always think she interprets "La-la-i doko ni mo nai basho de" / "nonexistent place" as "surreal", whereas what she aimed at was probably "unreal", as in "does not exist" / "is not real". I find this little theory of mine applicable on many of her titles. But it's probably just me, seeing ayu as Little Miss Interpreter. |
does anyone else wonder why she combines SURREAL and evolution (SURREAL~evolution~SURREAL) when she sings it live? has she ever given an explanation?
