Yay, an anime film! This is a love song it seems, and is one of Osamu Tezuka's works.

X JAPAN did the theme song for the last movie.

Should be epic!!

They are written by Ayu.

AnimeNewsNetwork translated the article for the most part.

Hamasaki acknowledged that she had not read the original manga before, but she took the opportunity to read the entire manga and the script and drew inspiration from them to write the lyrics. She added that she was completely immersed into the unique world view and read the entire 14-volume manga in one sitting. The film's general producer Kozo Morishita commented that he cannot help but feel the link to Siddhartha's hope for people's happiness in Hamasaki's lyrics, which pray for the happiness of loved ones.

^thanks! this news had saved me from breaking apart due to Hikki's dad, retreating his confirmation for KH3 THEME SONG. But THIS! OMG!

YES, THAT'S AMAZING NEWS! I can't wait!!!

It's so disturbing that the moment I think of writing a specific set of lyrics with a specific song title, Ayu goes and uses the same one for her songs. XD

Anyway, I'm interested in this song. I really love that title. I personally hope it's not a ballad, but if it is then no can do. I'd really like to listen some upbeat stuff more from Ayu right now but oh well. :p

Yoake 19th October 2013 01:28 PM

Good news. I wonder if she'll sing PRAY in CDL this year.

MeltingCORE 19th October 2013 08:19 PM

Hooray new Ayu material! This will be sweet.

If I'm not mistaken, it's literally about the life of Siddharta Gautama and how he came to be the Buddha. The books are very extensive, as it talks about not only the Buddha, but also the people who were significant in his story.

A really _awesome_ series.

hayasaki 22nd October 2013 01:15 PM

Now i really have high hopes for PRAY! i want anothe BRILLANTE-esque song.

The movie at least the theme of the story makes me think it should be something etherial like Road To Glory. But i know for a fact Ayu is not gonna do anything of that sort, i am not sure if she could pull it off even tho i'd love to hear something like that would love to see her chalanging herself for something she hadn't done yet..

Seeing Kokia gets me excited. :D

Anyway, I bet this song will be awesome. The animation for that movie is really beautiful. (the first one, I mean...)

This is really nice!
Even if I don't care so much by religious themes, the manga seems really good! I'll give it a try when I get some free time (unfortunately not so soon :()
