It's a Okay song for me. Not that epic since Ayu's song is predictable, talk about 15'th years career. Good luck in the chart.

I like the raspy "Far away" pitch in Ayu's voice during 5:25 to 05:29. However, I wouldn't consider this song as J-Pop; it sounds eminently westernized.

Moreover, I'd still insist on having a brighter (artificially attained) pitch in Ayu's studio voice like Avex did with earlier albums. Her studio voice certainly got closer to her real voice the last couple of years, but frankly, I liked her shrill, sharp sounding vocals better. That's why I have something for "LOVE again". Songs like "SAKURA", "Ivy", "petal" and "Gloria" fortunately had a bunch of ear-nourishing high-pitches, especially "SAKURA".

I wonder if we are meant to end up with a studio album containing "Tell All", "Feel the love / Merry-go-round", "Pray" and of course seven to eight additional songs. Would be a weird mixture.

I think it's one of her best Ayuish ballads.
The arrangement it's gorgeous, her voice is good and lyrics are great.

She had better ballads, I mean less predictables, but still is far from being totally generic like Days, meaning of Love and beloved, for instance. Also, it sounds like a leftover from LOVE again, but I wish most of LOVE again songs were good as Pray.

Daeklei 1st February 2014 04:12 AM

Love it! And in certain parts of the song there are these EH sounds (Not like bad but as in that's the sound ) that totally sound like a earlier voice era.

280301 1st February 2014 05:00 AM

The arrangement is amazing. 0.0

Coelacanth 1st February 2014 06:14 AM

I hope Pray isn't a single. I'd rather her cut straight to the album.

I enjoyed LOVE again, but a more upbeat album would be a blessing. Hope she expands on the EDM sound in Feel the love/Merry-go-round and the industrial sound in NaNaNa/Shake It.

She's also overdue for a downtempo ballad similar to HAPPY ENDING.

AyumiAi 1st February 2014 06:20 AM

its so perfect i can't get enogh of it!

adantatu2 1st February 2014 07:13 AM

The verses are good, but the chorus is weak and the song is long, sorry but i don't like it at all

erika_ayu 1st February 2014 08:20 AM

I like everything about the song, except that drum beat or is it even drums. I'm naot sure, but it sounds cheap for this type of movie, I wish they upgraded that part then it would be a song that's a lot more powerful.

Not trying to be mean, I still love Ayu, I blamed the composer. X(

MTE. except i think the song is lovelly, but i'm not gonna have it on repeat. I've listened to it maybe 4 times?... don't feel like doing it a lot.

George 1st February 2014 11:42 AM

It's a gorgeous song... but I don't know, it really doesn't grab me. To be fair, I really haven't enjoyed all of her most recent stuff (post-Love songs). I won't actively try to listen to it but I won't skip it if it plays whilst I'm on shuffle.

freedreamer 1st February 2014 02:12 PM

LOVE IT A LOT!!! I was waiting for a powerful and emotional track from her for so long. Ok, since SAKURA haha

tsumekaze_ 1st February 2014 02:59 PM

^ me too!
Already talked lots about this in other threads but I'll say this one again.
Epic song, one of my all time favourites. Lyrics are heartbreaking. Arrangement is beautiful. Plus her voice which cracks a bit in the right points...epic ballad. The ballad for definition.

It's funny how many people can have so many different opinions about this song! It's interesting, and that's probably what music is all about, different subjective perceptions!

marty 1st February 2014 05:10 PM

The more I listen to it, the more moving and epic it seems!
It's so very emotional and pretty, I love it very much!! I have to wait to have a final opinion on it, but I strongly suspect those violins will win me over very, VERY SOON. Lol.
It's really a song that grows on you the more you listen to it! And Ayu's way of singing it... ALL OF THE EMOTIONS.

khan5 1st February 2014 07:11 PM

i find the lyrics amazing and ayus vocals dont bother me at all, but the compositions/the instrumental sounds too rushed within the song. I have noticed since love again there something going on with the instrumentals sometimes they are way to rushed or have no proper transition between the verses and the chorus. Overall the song is good, but i find the song is a bit too stretched out.

Minttulatte 4th February 2014 12:43 PM

Sadly, I wasn't too impressed with this song. It has awesome lyrics, but otherwise it sounded like a leftover from LOVE again. However, I hope that this song will eventually grow on me more. :)

tinka69 4th February 2014 02:03 PM

Considering the last two songs she released, I had very, very...very low expectations for this release. But I'm surprised. I actually really like it :D
