I wanna know what's this copyright issue talk around Yume no Uta, too. O.o

Damn, I watched the ad for the album and Like It got stuck in my head again. I'm probably going to overplay it when the album is out. :'D

kaled kalil 7th March 2015 01:45 AM

The song is accused of plagiarism of two other japanese songs. The song is clearly a rip-off of those songs.

We don't know if there was any law suits, or anything like that. Probably RZ paid to the original composers, or any other agreement behind the scene, since she still able to perform this song and also Futari de...

chocopockymaster 7th March 2015 02:21 AM

^ holy shit. That might be some of the most blatant plagiarism I've ever heard.

Tom Punks 7th March 2015 02:29 AM

OMG they're literally the same song lmao

Zeke. 7th March 2015 02:40 AM

Don't give a fuck. Those songs were born just so that they COULD be plagiarized and give birth to the epic ness that is yume no uta. Those bitches can go sit on a long neck bottle.

...really, though?

Yume no uta is so fabulous though. The dramatics of it all.

Minttulatte 7th March 2015 01:06 PM

Oh, I see. I think that issue gave all Kuu haters to bash her harder then. As for me, I really don't care if Yume no Uta is a rip off, it's still better than those other two together.

And the storm will blow this house up soon. ;_;

Gubsi 7th March 2015 02:03 PM

lmao this yume no uta two songs thing is so old as f... like lmao where u've been hiding all these years!?
then we could talk bout ayus daft punk interlude rip off as well tbh, but whatever

like bitch is still here and selling cds and concert tickets after 15 years, who cares tbh

anyways...
can't wait for the album tho and what she's been up to for her 15th this year!

Baernash 7th March 2015 02:24 PM

Are you guys serious with that plagiarism thing? All "artists" (if they aren't composers) using songs from music banks. Usually they buying "melody" on exclusivity BUT not alway (especially if we're talking about asian market like K-POP or C-POP related things). Most of K-POP singers have only rights to use music/arrangement so anyone can buy the same rights (what isn't expensive) and make another songs from it.

On different BBS people are puttiong shit on italian singer because he made a song from music of 4minute's "MUSIC". I really doubt that mentioned singer haven't bought rights and I doubt that he's claiming himself as composer of those tracks. They are looking for a cheap sensation.

Similar with Kuu's "Yume no Uta". Tsuyuzaki Harumi's "Mou Nido to" is song from music bank (composed by swedish composer) and avex probably bought the rights to re-arrange it or something. Besides melodies in ballads are so similar that I feel all the time like I'm listening the same songs over and over.

NintendoHTF1242 7th March 2015 03:55 PM

I actually kind of dig that first song that Yume no Uta's melody is from. Really pretty!

But yeah Baernash summed it up soooo next topic.

I didn't think that day will come when I agree with Zeke's post, but the day has come. Haha I couldn't agree more with what you said. Yume no Uta is flawless, I think it's the best ballad of her career. I can never get enough of it.

Speaking of plagiarism, didn't misono use the same sample for her song, which Kumi later covered? misono - 0時前のツンデレラ I think some parts of the song sound very similar to Yume no Uta.

I really love her smoothy r&b ballads. Why nobody ever mentiones "hearty"? :( It's so beautiful. I must revisite her ballads like right now.

happiholic★ 7th March 2015 06:26 PM

Lmao, this whole convo just went off the deep end. How about some ballad talk, since that hardly ever gets brought up. I love Hana. Have I mentioned that lately?

True, I agree. Hana is sooo nice and relaxing. Its kinda springish. Same with magic. In fact, I feel that these two songs are a bit similar in sound, not that's a bad thing. But I like magic more. Kuu's vocals are so right for these kind of laid back ballads.

happiholic★ 7th March 2015 06:51 PM

I've always said Feel My Mind is one of my faves from Kuu. I can listen to every song :)

I joined the forum in 2008. Before that there was no place I could talk about her as much as I can do here. :D And I did read something about it before too, but the writer didn't explain things well, so I got really confused.

Errr... what is this? :0

As for Hearty... I love that, too. It makes me smile+I love to sing along to it. I kinda hope that she would perform it on her next tour. ;_;

Oh my god. I used to listen to it so much when I got the Secret Album first!

Corvina 7th March 2015 07:23 PM

For those, who weren't around...
It was said back then, that Kuu and avex got both songs ( Yume no Uta/Futari de...) from the japanese composer and didn't know that he made it up out of two other songs.
But as far as I know, there never was any official statment about the whole thing.
It never was a problem, so people should stop making one out of it.
