Kome did an interview with Ototoy a while ago which mentions a few neat facts. They mainly talk about how A ONE was released in 32-bit float high resolution audio, but he talks about how he started with Ayu among other things here and there.

Hidetomo 'KOME' Yoneda, Ayu's A&R director. In Japan, it seems to mean "on-site supervisor" for just about everything regarding the music, which is why Kome is at everything like concerts and shoots. I thought he'd been with Ayu since the beginning but he only started in 2005!

A&R usually means whoever scouts for music talent and nurtures them for a label, so I dunno how it changed to the Japanese meaning though since Kome only really works for Ayu from what I've seen.

She needs to sack him.

A&R, even in English, usually means any sort of liaison between an artist and the label. That DOES mean the people who scout & nurture new talent, but also the people who go through demos to decide what gets recorded (and obviously who might get signed), schedule recording sessions, negotiate contract terms and make sure the artist fulfills their part of it, that kind of thing.

Primarily, though, his job with Ayu would be to help her choose the right producers, make decisions on recording facilities and session players, that kind of thing. I agree, yes, he should be sacked... considering when he came on the scene and the steady decline of the quality of demos Ayu has received in the years since, and the fact that he's clearly choosing the wrong producers & mixers for much of her material over the last few years.... yeeeeaahhh. He's clearly an audiophile with a hard-on for high quality, high-resolution audio releases, but he doesn't really have very good musical sensibility as far as the emotions (beyond "Wow, this is really high quality!") music should be invoking in the listener.

So he's the reason Yamada keeps mixing her stuff? Messy.

Listened several times to Summer Diary, the arrangement is not that special but I love the chorus, it really felt like a sweet feeling of falling in love lol the PV is nice tho but I kinda not enjoying her acting like usual xD

So I just listened to RNRC as a whole, and I actually like how it flows :shrug I didn't even feel bored during Lady Dynamite, which is my least favourite song on the album and which I always skip.

Just pre-orded sixxxxxx. It's my first ayu pre-order and second ayu purchase in general as I just recently ordered A BEST off of eBay. I haven't bought anything of hers cause usually when I buy an artist's physical CD I'm eventually determined to collect them all... And so it begins lol
