It may not be a popular opinion, but I think Kuu would make a hell of a job on ayu's M, I'd love to see that. Plus, I know Namie doesn't take part in these things usually, but I'd love to see her doing a cover from ayu also. My tracklist would be something like:

I would love to hear GACKT covering a song like End of the World. The style of that song would totally fit him imo.

I also would love an EXILE cover of a popular song like Boys & Girls. It would be some nice promotion as well.

And maybe we can go further and explore Ayu's and Yoshiki's friendship and get and X-Japan cover of one of her rock songs? (Because of you or talkin' 2 myself could work)... I certainly would like a cover album that included solo artists, groups and bands way more than only female pop artists.

I can't see B'z doing "WHATEVER". I can see them do "decision", "talkin' 2 myself", "identity", or maybe "NEVER EVER". o_o; OH OH!! Maybe "And Then" (or "immature"), too! :O

Not a tracklist, but I can totally imagine Rina Aiuchi doing "A Song for XX" or "M".

I'd imagine their version of WHATEVER would have an "ultra soul" esque sound (but darker, obviously). Your songs are picked here based on what genre they already are, lol.... B'z covering an Ayu rock song wouldn't be interesting!

Of those, I can really only hear Koshi singing "immature" in my head, and I can imagine Tak's re-imagining of the production (based on the JT Original CM version but following the melody lines of the synth in the album version at times).

EDIT: Actually I can picture Koshi's vocals on "identity" also. But I feel like their cover would contribute absolutely nothing, it'd be like a carbon copy o_O

Coming up with a list is still too hard for me. I can't even imagine most of my fav artists covering anything from ayu.

That being said, the thought of Utada Hikaru covering Over just popped into my mind and I think that would be fantastic lol.
I'd love to hear MELL cover an ayu song but...
I'd also like to hear the Gazette cover one of ayu's rock tracks or rock-influenced ballads.
