Tsuchiya Anna To Discuss Settlement In Legal Dispute

Tsuchiya Anna and Kai Tomoaki, the stage director who sued the singer after she quit his play without permission, will be entering into settlement talks on September 23.

On September 12, the two appeared in court for oral arguments in an appeal case Kai had entered into against Tsuchiya. In January of 2016, the Tokyo District Court had dismissed the 30 million Yen lawsuit he filed against her, and days later, he appealed the decision.

The current case was originally set to be concluded on October 24; however, out of advisement from the court, discussions for a settlement will begin on September 23.

In the original lawsuit, Tsuchiya had offered to settle the case for 2 million Yen. Kai rejected the offer, stating, "It's a matter of honour, not a matter of money."

Kai sued Tsuchiya for 30 million Yen in damages after the singer backed out of his play "Kiseki no Singer". The play is based on the life of Asami Hamada, a Japanese singer know for calling herself the "worst singer in Japan". Tsuchiya was supposed to play the lead character, but backed out when she found it he did not get Hamada's official approval to do the play.

Anna Tsuchiya's Settlement In Legal Dispute With Tomoaki Kai Rejected For 2nd Time

For the second time in his long-running legal despite with the singer, Tomoaki Kai has rejected Anna Tsuchiya's settlement offer.

On October 17, settlement discussions were held in private at the Tokyo District Court. Tsuchiya's side offered to settle in their case, but Kai rejected the offer.

The terms of the settlement have not been revealed.

According to reports, Kai says he does not know if he can settle the case with Tsuchiya's side, but still wants the dispute to be resolved by the end of the month.

With settlement talks broken down, Tsuchiya and Kai will return to court on October 24.

Tsuchiya originally attempted to settle with Kai in 2014 when he originally sued her. He rejected her 2 million Yen settlement offer. The courts later dismissed the lawsuit entirely while ordering him to pay her damages in a separate but related case.

Anna Tsuchiya Dating Non-Celebrity Man, Pregnant With 3rd Child

In June of 2004, Tsuchiya married actor Joshua Niimura. The two had a child together named Sky in November of 2004. The two got divorced in July of 2006.

Tsuchiya later married Yamato Kikuchi in September of 2009 and had a son together named Simba on March 26, 2010. The two got a divorce on January 21, 2016.

I was just relistening to DONE. Can't believe I forgot how great that song was.
I wished she would have continued with HIDER.

Btw, I guess I'm late to the party, but it just came to me that HIDER maybe is named after her father's surname which is Heider and pronounced exactly the same. Did she say something regarding the project's name?
