Thanks for the translation.

I guess we'll have to wait for further details... this is so weird.

If this was for publicity, they only tarnished Avex's name instead of boasting it. Their stocks did drop today, so they must've lost several thousand dollars.

Thanks for the real translation, Kawai. :thumbsup

Mitkki 3rd August 2004 04:02 AM

Ahhh... what BS. All that drama for nothing.

bulmasman 3rd August 2004 04:06 AM

lol, quite funny how i said it was a publicity stunt as a joke in one of the other threads... maybe i was right o_O

ChildOfXX 3rd August 2004 04:08 AM

Oh my friggen gosh.

CREA 3rd August 2004 04:09 AM

I doubt this was a publicity stunt because it makes avex look bad and it certainly did hurt their stocks. I think avex just didn't realize the damage this would cause, and when the shockwave of confusion started (probably mainly due to ayu's message that suggested she would leave with max) they had to fix the situation as fast as possible. Now I'm curious as to what had to be negotiated for the two of them to return.

Drama drama drama.

I wonder how much cash Avex paid Maxy to stay... :laugh

ditto. Gotta love that Max though :evillaugh
On a serious note, I wish that this incident will result in decisions that make avex a better company. 95% of the singers I like are on the avex label, so they must have been doing something right up until now.

I forgot to thank Cloud for posting this news. arigatou :cool
