Artists without a ranking just mean that they made it into the top 100, so Namie could've made more than BREATH (which she probably did).

btw I think the rankings mean the whole of Jpop, and this list only included the Avex artists.

Ayu ROCKS. All her sales are almost 28% of the Avex total (from those that were listed)

No offense to Ayu fans, but ELT and DAI go for quality and not quantity...Even though Ayu has been releasing new stuff, it's not very good stuff... :rolleyes

Maybe it's about all the artists in Japan? I don't know though :shrug

I'm guessing Southern All Stars, Mr. Children, B'z and some other lesser known bands overseas which are popular in Japan would slot in those other top empty spots =/

Likewise, no offense, but I think DAI & ELT's recent releases have been HORRIBLE compared to their older stuff. They're taking too much time to put out crap.

These are 2003 sales. DAI had a lot of singles, and an album. And maybe some other things, I'm not sure.

So tell me what some great ELT and DAI pre-2003 releases are, sorry for my ignorance, I just doubt if you even listen to them.

I enjoy the majority of their works from last year, "Grip!" "yura yura" "shiawasenofuukei" "Hiiragi" "BURANKO" are all great songs, far better than ayu's.

i listen to both and i agreed with him... DAI AND ELT their latest releases from 2003 on have been bad...

but i'm not saying ayu releases have been great ... either... so dont get me wrong... ayu started to mess up from 2003 on...

i still like ayu and Dai stuff way better than ELT(it all sound the same)
