OMG! I almost flipped out! I called everyone I knew, and we all went to kill her! Seriously! Those chinese singers are shifty characters. Not like my goddess, ayu. No, she'd NEVER copy anyone. Never. Not even if her clothing is the same. And the pose. And the style.

I'm as a big an ayu fan as you people, but seriously. Before you go of like a rocket about people criticizing ayu about copying, look at the nasty stuff said about people like Jolin. I mean, some of these "She copied Ayu" things are just ridiculous. And one that looks decently credible comes along and suddenly the person that suggests it is a raving lunatic?

I can say for sure that I was never part of "that". Actually I always feel tiresome whenever someone from either side brings up topics like "that". I just don't waste my time on such pointless discussions.

But what's up with your "Chinese undertone" there?

Kazuko 8th December 2004 05:49 AM

XDD ricekid.. calm down... we're only stating our own opinions... and i think you exaggerated a lil too much in your umm.. first paragraph >_<

i don't think ayu is copying christina... well if she is then i don't think she's doing it intentionally.. i mean look at the 2 pics.. clearly ayu's look more decent than christina XD i mean don't get me wrong.. i have nothing against christina.. and i am NOT favouring ayu.

extepan 8th December 2004 08:24 AM

indeed ayu's look more decent than christina's. but the styles are really similar though

ohsixthirty 8th December 2004 08:29 AM

Ok, look at the pictures of Xtina...and then think...

You people complained that AYUMI had on too much makeup! :roflmao

You'd think Christina would have learned something from the Lady Marmalade video. :)

FuNsTyLe 8th December 2004 02:13 PM

How can you say the DONT look similiar? are you blind? Im pretty sure the photographer have seen Christina's pics, and got 'some' inspiration... You people always defend ayu:P
I think they both look good, but christina can look very classy, she has a very classy-looking face, kinda^^ Ayu dont^^ but ayu is still pretty there :)

jerms 8th December 2004 02:26 PM

LOL thats quite true...there arent so many poses one can do

devilayu 8th December 2004 06:57 PM

I'm not gonna be part of the who copied who thing (though I agree that many Ayu fans always jump to defend her and/or jump to accuse other artists) but I do see a resemblance in the pictures. I happen to like the Christina ones more just because Christina's set is reminiscent of eras past.

_Zora_ 8th December 2004 07:55 PM

is it me or did it seem like christina was copying ayu? (fighter video vs. ourselves) -- i think of the black dress that is similar between the two

gogirlanime 8th December 2004 08:11 PM

I think it's funny what people in Hong Kong consider "news" news in America is actual important things that are happening, in Hong Kong it seems more like Fox news where people give their opinions, bashing celebrities on their new work lol. Although, I do agree, any idea has to come from an inspiration from something else, cause and effect, and I think Ayu's producers do try to make her more and more American by the minute, so I do believe her PRODUCERS not her decided to make her like Christina, cuz honestly, it's sad, but most Jpop artists are pretty much money puppets, including Ayu.

You mean how it seems like every person that "copies" ayu is some chinese singer? Chinese artists get such bad reps because one or two does a cover of a song or has a similar dress, and the entire fanbase of the copy-ee goes beserk. You should see how Canto-artists get butchered at Korean music forums. it makes me sick...

Not saying you specifically do, but like when ayu fans found kill-ayu they started defending her like "Well, it doesn't mean she COPIED her. These people are just stupid" and it's like, how blind can you be? Sure, ayu's great and all (I own all her albums and over half her singles, not to mention a few remix albums and 2 videos) but it's quite obvious that somewhere along the way some decided they likes what was going on across the pond and took the idea, purposely or not.

Why is it that it's justified for an artist you like to copy (sorry, lemme rephrase that, "be inspired) someone else, but if someone else copies the artist you like suddenly it's a completely different ballgame?

Aldonia 8th December 2004 10:44 PM

Copying Christina? Please. :P Christina is an all-out skank, Ayu is not. Psh.
