I thought the report in my local newspaper was exaggerating it, but now that I've seen the statue, I think Ayu's unhappiness is somewhat reasoned.

Then again, if she didn't go down to get measured, then it's really her problem.

i cant exactly tell why the statue is bad.....maybe it is the skin colour? or it is because of the outline of the face that makes it so un-ayu?

I love the outfit they chose for the wax figure...but the face just does not look right. I suppose if Ayu was uncooperative with Maddame Tusaude's (sp?), then they may have done the best they could, but then again, would they even MAKE it if they did not have the proper measurements?

I can tell it's Ayumi, but it's just not as realistic as most of the wax figures I have seen. It kind of scares me to be honest...I can imagine that creepy Wonderland song playing while this freaky wax figure comes to life or something... :thud

OMG I can't look at that thing for more than 2 seconds.. it's SO SCARY. The eyes really freak me out. It looks like Ayu, and yet it doesn't. I don't like it. I've seen some statues that look ALIVE, but this looks like Ayu was found lying dead on the floor of her bathtub -.-

It doesn't look like her but if the report of Ayumi not going in for full measurements is true, then that would explain why it doesn't look like her. Sending in measurements by your staff simply doesn't cut it for wax statues. I think the person who made the figure did the best they could with what info they had.

It reminds me of the Kano sisters. If I was ayu, I would be throwing a fit as well. It's manly and hideous.
