Here are a few notable quotes from the article titled MTV Asia Awards 2003: Nick Carter To Perform :
"After experiencing the enormous success of the last MTV Asia Awards, Panasonic returns as a regional sponsor for the second year. Panasonic has been sponsoring the Olympic games and Formula 1, and we are equally pleased and excited to be a part of music history -- the second and the largest Asian music award event."
"Nick Carter will join a powerful lineup of Asian and international artists (to be announced later) who will host, present, and perform at the second MTV Asia Awards. " (Personal comment: Eh? Of all people, why Nick Carter?)

The majority of US artists are international, meaning they're known around the world. Even though it goes against the meaning of MTV Asia Awards by not having just Asian artists, it includes US artists who are known in Asia.

Unimatrix Prime™ 20th November 2002 02:44 PM

What's sad is that the MTV awards here in the US don't recognize the talents of other international artists besides those that are Latin, so at least for MTV Asia, they award artists from across the globe :trout

Ibitsu Kokoro 20th November 2002 10:48 PM

YEAH!!!

I'll email both
