i think it is...loveppears!!!!!!!!!
duty had a lot of good songs but somehow i like loveppears more. maybe it is because of the 2cd thing

lolo66 14th January 2005 12:55 PM

kinda hard, persoanlly like Duty more

on a good note, you can't go wrong with either one. Win-win situation

zephyr84 14th January 2005 01:03 PM

loveppears definitely.

you can't go wrong with boys & girls which catapulted her to fame.

sxesven 14th January 2005 01:06 PM

I say Duty, just because it's my personal favorite. However, as has been mentioned before, you can't go wrong with either one.

Well Duty was a big change from LOVEppears. Its got some more rockier songs on Duty. LOVEppears is fun pop and dance tracks mainly.

Duty seems like a much more emotional album and a lot more themes in it then LOVEppears. Avex seemed to just want Ayu to throw a album together wtih LOVEppears but Duty feels like it all connects together and works well and is my fave ayu album anyway.

But if you want to go for value then get LOVEPpears as its got the remixes on CD2. But if you want my opnion I'd go for Duty.

LOVEppears has a more pop/dance vibe, and the bonus CD has megamixes/promotional materials (cm's and stuff...or something, i forget :X). it's a very manufactured sound.

Duty is more rock/edgy, with a few exceptions (audience, endless sorrow).

endless sorrow is not on Duty, it's on I am..

get LOVEppears, you can actually fall in love with every single track on that album :) I didn't like Teddy Bear or Key ~eternal tie ver.~ on Duty

HanabiChick 14th January 2005 04:12 PM

I think Duty is a better album than LOVEppears, it's just a quality album.

Eigoob 14th January 2005 04:15 PM

In case of doubt, get both! :D

tsuki 14th January 2005 04:23 PM

^exactly.
but if you must pick one, get Duty. like said, it's a masterpiece.

Good point there.

isaac hiew 14th January 2005 05:22 PM

I'd say LOVEppears. I only liked duty's Surreal and Audience......

elepop 14th January 2005 10:54 PM

Tough choice. I'll go with LOVEappears... or Duty? Or LOVEppears? Sorry, i can't help you. I like both equally. Both have amazing songs...

natalaxie 14th January 2005 11:54 PM

LOVEppears is better value for money... but Duty has a really good style. so i guess it depends what you like better...

If we're talking quantity maybe, but I think buying quality would be the better option.

No, that does not mean LOVEppears has no quality. I was just stating that the fact that a CD has more tracks and a bonus disc doesn't make it the better disc.

ll moments ll 15th January 2005 12:26 AM

Duty definitely.

her vocals are amazing compared to LOVEppears & i like the songs better. like 'Far Away', 'SCAR', and 'SEASONS'.

starr5245 15th January 2005 04:55 AM

loveppears of course, everything is nicer!

PickleCookies 15th January 2005 05:59 AM

This is a tough decision.

Duty is has better songs. Like vogue, End of the World, Far away, SURREAL, AUDIENCE, and SEASONS.
But, LOVEppears is an overall better album. It's probably the best album-album. While Duty is more of a collection of the best songs.

So, I'd have to say that you should do what's already been suggested:
Buy LOVEppears now to save money, then get Duty later since it's cheaper.

greggerz189 7th February 2005 09:08 AM

I would say LOVEppears just cuz...I LOVE songs off her Duty album, but prefer LOVEppears as a whole

appears 7th February 2005 09:27 AM

as previously stated, it depends upon whether ur into like techno-fused pop or a more rock feel.. personally id go with LOVEppears, [And Then] [P.S II] [Who...] plus album versions of [too late] [appears] [monochrome] etc are dope, plus the bonus disc makes for some cool CM viewage / mexamixage etc...
[Duty]'s good but only 12tracks... and not all of them are that hot anyway... but go with the flow man, Duty's like her most critically acclaimed album (i think, maybe [I am...] was, since she started with the composin side, but whatever, it sure sold a hellova lot of copies) althou i still back [LOVEppears] its timeless :D
