I wish Ayu gets sales as high or higher than my prediction (85-90,000 first day)... I'm fearing that it won't reach those numbers because the single is facing tough competition that week with singles from aiko and Prono Graffiti. Step you had no tough competition when it was released. I don't know much about aiko and Porno Graffiti but from what I know they are pretty popular in Japan (the news item about aiko being the most favorite artist in a survey, for example). Ayu will reach number 1 but I have a slight feeling that sales won't be as high as our predicctions. I hope I'm wrong on this...

oricon is bad to make any judgement though
they only counts sales toward HMV/CD Tower etc
and don't includes the smaller company..
it could be sold alot more then just around 78k
