It's like when I feel in ove with Hitomi Shimatani's Papillon and then discovered it's a total copy of Janet Jackson's Doesn't Really Matter (the song was exactly the same!!).

I got to put the two songs together and was able to do a Jant/Hitomi mix hehehehe...

A couple of things I don't like from Sweetbox are:

1)Ok, i know they might have created songs such as 1000 no kotoba, In the Corner or For the lonely... but, did they HAVE TO release an album with those songs evenafter Koda, Ayumi, etc. already sang those songs?

It's like saying: "Have you heard that song by XXX?, Guess what, I composed it and i'm including it in my album as well..."

2)Jade's voice sux.

I will look for those songs to listen to them and compare, because as it happened to sweetbox's Pride and Army Of Lover's Crucified, I'll have to listen to Three Small Words, this is gonna be interesting.

Wha?? What did she copy from Hasselhoff and Britney Spears?

With Ayu having a bunch of songs that Sweetbox wrote-- that was because they were collaborating on those songs.

“I”d always thought Sweetbox were kind of neat, but it was only recently that I really grew to like them. I bought their best album, and it was so good, I ended up buying a copy for the house, a copy for the car, and a copy for the studio, and listened to it non-stop. They”re also on Avex, you know? And some of the staff on my team had worked on Western music before, so I told them, “I”d like to sing a song like this, a song like Sweetbox”s. Actually, it”d be best if they would actually write a song for me.” I hadn”t really been serious, I”d just said it very spur of the moment, but unbeknownst to me, my staff went and talked to the Geo side and when I”d forgotten about it altogether, I got a tape out of the blue, with 12 songs on it. He said if I liked one of the songs, I could sing it. All the songs were really great, but “Bold & Delicious” made the biggest impression on me. As soon as I heard it, I had to sing it. So even though I”d already finished recording another song to release as the single, I decided to record it.”
Gomen if you guys had already mentioned this...

^haha yeah. : ]

AND, if this hadnt happened, ya know, Startin' & Born To Be... would have take B&D and Pride's place and it would've been on (miss)understood, me thinks :P

OH, and delirium, you SHOULD do that. teh b-side idea. i really dont understand that, shouldnt the 2nd a-side be treated like the first? isnt a c/w song the same as a b-side? bwaaahhh XO

Can I get the "LOVER SOUND TRACK" song?

Dustie 1st June 2006 02:51 PM

Half of songs on Ayumi's (miss)understood are covers of SWEETBOX -- Bold 'n' Delicious, Pride, rainy day, Beautiful Day, In the Corner and maybe more; they're originally sung by SWEETBOX.

Those were SWEETBOX's songs. Why shouldn't they release them anytime they want? They are far less popular than Ayumi/Koda anyway...

Ayu's Sweetbox covers areeeeeeeeee
Rainy Day = Every Step
Beautiful Day = Beautiful Girl
Ladies Night = Ladies Night
Bold and Delicious = Bold and Delcious
Pride = Pride
In the Corners = In the corner

All the songs have the same beat annd all, but they are completely different songs lyric wise. They have completely different meaning. (I only know this because Ayu and Jade are my favorite singers, so I knew Ayu was covering Jade before .. well .. before like, everything!) Its on Jades website, too :p.

Actually to be honest, Ayu really has a ear for taking the best out of the worst. No offence (I REALLY love Sweetbox and all) but their version of Bold & Delicious SUCKS terribly. If the demo-tape that Ayu received sounded anything like the songs on the Addicted album; I 'd have to say that Ayu really knows her stuff.

Personally, I kind of don't care who made it first (as long as credit is indeed given) just as long as they sound good.

Delirium-Zer0 6th October 2006 05:18 AM

Agreed on all accounts. She was able to hear some really good potential in tracks that sounded pretty awful in their raw form.

Rebirthia 6th October 2006 09:21 PM

Delirium-Zer0 8th October 2006 05:50 PM

Actually, Janet wrote Papillon for Shimatani. It's not a total copy, it's an official version. :D

I do agree with Aisha_Angel. Jade's voice is deeply irritating x_x
