I agree :yes. Christina's voice is one of the best around.

WTF? Paris is releasing an album? Someone should seriously stop her.
Hmmm, did anyone mention that new generation of C-pop singers in HK? After the 90s, HK's music's quality has been declining very rapidly. The singers can't sing and the lyricists are illiterate.

fallout boy, HIM, good charlotte, simple plan, taking back sunday...etc. all the emo bands. They all sound exactly the same anyway, not as in they are all crappy.

what happened to bands like metallica and queensryche, pantera, megadeath...what happened to rock music in america???

also...POD....i hate them...and all those dumb female singers mentioned above.
Madonna...i think maybe its time

Coelacanth 27th April 2006 03:51 AM

Hmm, alot man!!

Emo. notably all that Panic! At the Disco, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Hellogoodbye, My Chemical Romance.. stuff.

Eminem, G-Unit, 50 Cent. Basically anyone produced by Dr. Dre?

Any dead artists that still release records. Sorry Tupac.

Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down.

ORANGE RANGE.

any boybands like KAT-TUN, Arashi, etc. They sound even more the same than most of the emo bands.

:yes :yes :yes

Mad_Cactuar 27th April 2006 04:59 AM

Well I used to think Fallout Boy, but then their Dance Dance song was really good, so.. Hmm.. I disagree with Ashlee Simpson and Christina Aguilera, they do have great songs every now and then. P!nk does well too.

Hilary Duff, because she just couldnt bring emotions to her songs. Plus she doesnt seem to have vocal range. Just like Rachel Stevens. Only not as good. And more robotic. And less catchiness.

Simple Plan, G-Unit, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and any other artist who uses one stupid tedious background crappy loop to make a song. Kanye West excepted. And Simple Plan does have the WORST vocalist around. His voice GRATES.

Everything but ORANGE RANGE. I like their ballad singles (hana and kizuna). Guy bands can ACTUALLY sing pretty good ballads, which shock me.

Vinylfantasy 27th April 2006 07:05 AM

DJ Tiesto. You don't make good music. Period.

DJ Rap. She can't beatmatch her way out of a paper bag.

Darude. You can't top Sandstorm, no matter how crappy it is.

Ayumi no Yume 27th April 2006 07:17 AM

First of all - You dare call this thread by the name of "artists?" ugh... lol
Second, This thread is bound to make someone pissed. :laugh I've already seen a couple of my favorite artists being told to stop, so it's my turn.
-Lindsay Lohan -Nobody likes you anymore.
-Hilary Duff -You're talented, but not as a singer.
-Faith Hill -I used to think you were awesome, until I found out you don't even sing your damned lyrics.
-And anyone else who tries to hard to rhyme, + many rap singers...uhh... rappers.

And I used to dislike P!nk, but she writes her own lyrics, and she's so original and awesome. She's like <3 now.

Yeah...it kind of is..but as long as people don't start bashing really badly o_o

Hmm..I'm not too fond of most of the people everyone has listed before me (Lindsey Lohan, Hilary Duff, et. al.). Some "stars" should stop thinking that just because they succeed in one field of stardom doesn't mean they'll succeed in another field. :rolleyes

Hana<3 27th April 2006 08:48 AM

Namie Amuro, don't know why, but I get sick of her voice...

Now that is something I feel the same about, I can't stand songs with the same part just looped throughout the song, the same bit replayed over and over with nothing else there just bores me. It's a bit pathetic to see one of those rappers on TV boasting about having learnt to program beats to repeat that way, and thinking this is like real composing :shakehead

I also agree with the bit about those female singers who all have blonde hair and all look/sound the same, all emotionless and boring.

Keishi 27th April 2006 01:52 PM

Michelle Williams stay with DC, don't get solo

and yeah, Rappers should stop...
they start to get unoriginal lately

and to:
Lindsay Lohan
Kelly Clarkson
Jessica Simpson
Paris Hilton
Hilary Duff,
you guys can start dying your goddamn blonde hair and shoot a new Power Ranger Girls Movie

Peruvian_Sky 27th April 2006 02:25 PM

Anything country. Staind and Coldplay should give it up too, they are absolutely boring. And any of this trendy rock crap like The Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fall Out Boy, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Panic At the Disco, etc. etc. should go away too.

Tokio Hotel die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (German Group)

nmskalmn 27th April 2006 04:38 PM

None. What these people do doesn't hurt me so it is none of my business. If I don't like a certain entertainer I just avoid their music.

Exactly. The artists I don't like or that I'm not really interested into, I just ignore and forget them. Let them work, sing, perform, copy and lip-synch as much as they want, I could care less. Imo wishing for someone to quit means that you "care" for that person (whether in a good or bad way doesn't matter but it means you've got that artist on your thoughts and that you waste your emotions on them).

i agree with you, but i guess i'm not mature enough to ignore them, hahaha! :laugh most of the time i do, but certain artists are just over exposed and you get sort of annoyed at constantly hearing them or seeing them. and other artists, i don't know why, but their very presence irks me. and i suppose that does mean i have some sort of emotion invested on them, but ah well, i have plenty of emotions to go around! :yes

LOL Yep some artists are way annoying...but I probably just have amnesia and forget them (I really do have a "short" long memory :laugh)

Well now that I think of it...there's one type of people I don't really like to see producing music: I mean those who make songs encouraging racism, xenophobia, homophobia, violence against animals, etc Also, there's this artist in my country who drove while he was drunk and hit and run and killed a person, but was judged innocent after the media used so much of their influence to prove he was just a victim...bizarre, I know. Rather than wishing such people should quit I just wish they should be arrested LOL :laugh
