White has been my favourite color for quite some time, before I found out about Ayu, so I'm just happy :D. I being clad in white, I choose white when I can, as long as it's good looking, hehe.

She sort of answered that question in an interview, quite extensively, here: Article 2 at masas page. She talks about her youth and how she got involved in the entertainment business very early but that she never was interested in music at all, other than listening to it/going to karaoke.
