She sounds downright silly when singing like that ("HONEY" was done on purpose, but in any cute & sunny song, she still sounds awkward). She really needs to embrace the more adult sound, seeing as how that's where her voice is naturally going. Songs like Beautiful fighters need to just stop, really. She can do the pop songs like Startin' and STEP you that are harder, darker, rockier pop, since they're darker & lower sounding anyway. But the sunny stuff just isn't working for her anymore. And she needs her ballads to sound more like JEWEL, criminal, and other "dark" ballads like that... poppy ones like CAROLS just won't work for her anymore, not nearly as well as they used to anyway.

Aww, but I like HONEY the way it is. And Greatful days was just.. great. :P Yes, she can try to accept her maturity and sing like the adult she is, but it will certainly make alot of songs less enjoyable. These songs are created to be cute and fluffy and kiddish, and ayu should still have the chance to embrace that side of herself. She's still young, let her do her cute stuff ;)

I love ayu, but seriously. eeew. She's flat in that song to begin with, the IIIII's just make it worse. x_x

I still hate that song, just because of how high pitched she sings. @_@

Oh, and Deli, you get the ROFLMAO Ayu image trophy for making me nearly die with laughter from your explanation.

TA-DA!

Whee! I feel special ^_^

And I don't remember who said it, but I agree - more "Moments" songs would be good. ^_^ That was another song that made me go "whoa, she sounds... GREAT!" when it came out.

Still hate the cutesy sunny stuff. Seriously, "Startin'" and "JEWEL" are the only songs off the new mini-album that I can so far say I actually like. =\

HAR.

I guess it's so nothing happens when she sings it..
It'd be better to sing a song in a lower key than one that might possibly be too high..

PFFF! When she has the short blonde hair and is playing the guitar is more like androgynous, otherwise she looks pretty feminine in that silver dress. Not to mention the long blonde hair.

i think this she-man voice happens when she
☆see's soemthign funny
☆forget some lyrics and began humming
☆slip on the floor and begin singing
☆soemthign malfuntion
☆she jumps for joy too much
☆whiel she was walkign and thinkgin what will she sing next.

^_^

truehappiness 21st October 2006 07:49 AM

Yes, the short blonde-hair one. The one that is similar to the uraayu-punk Ayu.

She's gone slightly goth in ourselves, but nothing other than that...

And her voice is just fine. "She-male" is definitely an extreme way to describe it. Would you want her to try singing like End of the World now.. just as high pitched and nasally as before? :|

I wouldn't, especially since her voice probably can't handle that nowadays or breaks/cracks when she does try.. I mean, imagine Boys&Girls.. sung with it's.. squeakiness retained..

Fixed.

"She-male" is definitely far from what it is.. it's just deeper than the 1998-2002 vocals. It's definitely closer to her 'real voice' than the squeaky.

Because of You at CDL05-06 sounds so good on DVD :p
[it sounds just like the AT03-04 one.. so.. o_o]

huyuhuyu 21st October 2006 04:24 PM

Ayappe 21st October 2006 05:23 PM

I think that now her voice is better than the past! In the past it seems that she sang with the nose.. X°°°D I quote Huyuhuyu.. now she's more serious..!^^

ayu1m 21st October 2006 06:30 PM

Her voice has changed yep, but luckily it has gone to the right direction IMO : )

immel could you check "your" pm, thx :>

ayu_ready? 21st October 2006 07:26 PM

Ayu has grown up, and, bsides, comparing t how much sings, spending time in lives, tours, practising, recording...
og course her voice is low now! :)

Kikaru 21st October 2006 07:50 PM

I'm with those saying that I like her lower voice. Some of the song if ASFXX album I really like, but songs like Kanariya and For my Dear are just not listenable.

I don't really mind Carols and Dearest, because they have have lower ranges too, but For My Dear just hurts my ears.

Of course, it takes certain profession to get the III-ings right.

Ayappe 21st October 2006 08:17 PM

I quote Kikaru... I can't lisen "Poker Face" or "Depend On You".. it hurts my ears!°__° I like her voice lower.. Like in Duty, I Am, etc...
