Since she's had like 6 albums since her last best album, she could stand to release another.

truehappiness 3rd December 2006 04:45 PM

I think that despite the long period of time between now and the last best..

She still won't do it. :\ I don't think that she will until she feels ready to, which doesn't seem very close. OR she could surprise us all and do an original album along with a best next year.. :o

I'm with immel on this one. I would rather have a new album. I don't really see the point of best albums to be honest. Leave the best albums for when she is retired and out of the music business. While she is still in it she should spend her time working on more songs to put on those best albums. I always get disappointed by them too because my best Ayu tracks are never on them.

edgefusion 3rd December 2006 07:14 PM

I don't want another BEST album, that might mean she's going away. :'(

Mad_Cactuar 3rd December 2006 10:38 PM

Oh, 2 CD BEST + Original album would be fantastic! Or 3 CD, BEST + BEST REMIXES + Original Album.

truehappiness 3rd December 2006 10:43 PM

She's gonna change up BEST albums forever and..

FILM PVs FOR HER UN-PV'd songs?! D:

Well, if she was actually going to do that then I'm all for another Best album...

slowmoth 4th December 2006 12:06 AM

Something like best hits and unpublished works :O

Delirium-Zer0 4th December 2006 12:07 AM

I'm with immel... I'd LOVE reworkings & rerecordings. I loved A BALLADS, the new versions on A BEST, that sort of thing.

And I think "For My Dear..." is in desperate need of a self-cover version. I know it's an old song, but her voice could handle it so much better now, and her new mixers & crew could do a really killer version of it. The original mix is so weak, but it's got the kind of melody where if it built up & kind of exploded more (from the bridge to the chorus) it would be PERFECT.

like the GEO songs that DIDN'T make it to the album.

Delirium-Zer0 4th December 2006 12:33 AM

I'd definitely like to hear demos or even finished recordings that never made it onto an album. "Secret" has made me wonder, what happens to ayu's material if it DOESN'T make the album? Alot of the tracks from Secret almost didn't. Do they get carried over to the next album or are they lost in the depth of time? Who knows how much stuff ayu's written that she never finished.

unpublished works sounds amazing!

some of the unpublished works i hear from other artists are really good sometimes ...

You got to hear one of them along with "It was", which was scheduled for (m)u but was left out. It was supposed to be left out of Secret, too, until they made it a full album.

Imagine if all her leftover songs are like "It was" ... damn.

I'm with you on the idea, I want to hear it all, all of the hundreds of songs that has not been published. She probably have a million scrapped lyrics or lyric ideas, half assed compositions and random arrangements assorted in various boxes somewhere.

Is that a positive or a negative "damn"? :P I presume it's a positive, in that case, I agree. :D

Yes, very likely, since she said in that ROCKIN' ON JAPAN interview that usually the producer gives her ~50 melodies to choose from when creating a song.

immel 4th December 2006 08:44 PM

Your presumption is very correct :).

It's a high quality song, definitely not something that should be left to rot in a remote corner of Somewhere.

jeffycue 4th December 2006 10:22 PM

i like a -meets- album... AAA, Kuu, YUI (unlikely), Ketsumeishi, m-flo, TRF, UVERworld, etc!!.. hahhahaa.

nodoka 5th December 2006 12:01 AM

Yeah so i hope so too. I kind of want the whole "glam Ayu" image to go away as well because I think thats whats destroying her sales.

Terri 5th December 2006 12:01 AM

'Best' albums always seem to scare me...

Honestly, I don't think those melodies get trashed, they most likely are listened to by other artists after they are refused by the first one. Unless the compositons are actually finished songs never released more or less or ayu's own compositions they won't be considered "unreleased" material.

extepan 5th December 2006 04:33 AM

I hope she will keep on releasing albums, i dont really mind if it was a new album or a greatest hits!
