That's true. She may sing the same songs quite often, but those are fan favorites and those are the songs that brings the most energy in the crowd. You can see it when you see all the fans dancing to "Trauma", "evolution", "independent", "Humming 7/4" and others with Ayu, her dancers and even the crew.

I might have yet to try AT06 hoping it's as good as AT05. But maybe later when I got a good cheap bootleg for it. :laugh

Funny, "MY STORY" and "ARENA TOUR 2005" are the ones I haven't seen yet! "A MUSEUM" was the first concert I bought! Loved it. You should definitely try "STADIUM TOUR 2002" and "ARENA TOUR 2002". "ARENA TOUR 2002" is truly my favorite. But a lot of people hate it. I think it's visually wonderful. Love the oriental and rock feel. Plus, two unplugged performances. :heart

Ayumi - Her tours are visually wonderful to hear, always uniquely costumes, and you can really hear her efforts. She sings old songs because people like them, and it's a way to interact with fans. I mean, why is Sakuranbo and Katomial Dial always in Otsuka Ai's concerts? Same reason.
Otsuka Ai - Her combined talents at playing instruments with singing = <3
Namie - just because. :D

Unplugged, interesting. :D I may check them up sometimes thanks for the recommendations. :D

Ah, by the way, it is one tour, "MY STORY ARENA TOUR 2005", the last year AT was for MY STORY album. Just a correction. XD

I chose ayu coz of her concerts. They are full of surprises and some of the stuff she does in them are just stunning. Her recent (m)u arena tour definitely is one of the best. Very thoughtful and creative. She might not be the best vocalist or dancer but she is still very good. :D She definitely improved a lot. Im a proud owner of all her concert dvds.

Ai otsuka...I havent seen too much of her performances but the ones Ive seen, I like them alot. Especially when she plays the piano. Its very beautiful and she sure shows off her talent :D

Koda kumi...the only performances i like from her are her cutie honey and butterfly live performances. I dont like her ballad ones. When she performed those two songs, I was very impressed. Her voice, and the way she performed...very confident and very entertaining. It really stood out from the rest. I always thought her voice sounds the best singing those songs....but her recent performances...I dont like at all :(

The best performer IMO is Yoshida Miwa from Dreams Come True. She's an amazing singer, great dancer, has a lot of energy, has great songs (which are composed by her BTW)
But from the poll I'd say Misia, specially in terms of vocals.

Ayumi Hamasaki EVER!
Her tours are only comparable with Madonna's!

They are the queen!!!

WillofDusk 3rd January 2007 07:44 PM

rAINBOW: hOHO
Seems like Madona lost the fire and Ayu is going to splash the remains hoho
Ayu is the best.
Namie is next. Her voice is very enthusiastic. And cool dancing

Actually, she sings most, if not all, of her lives in Japan plus the choreography. Although she had been lip-synching in Korea (it's really common for Korean artists to do that), she's drifting away from that common practice and is starting to sing more lives.
BoA's live performancing skills are underrated, in my opinion. She still manages to be on beat and in tune as she performs those difficult dance moves.

hallelujah_united 4th January 2007 06:12 AM

^I remember watching her perform Dakishimeru last year, and it was really hard to believe that she was singing so well with all those moves. Definitely very exhuasting though, it showed at the end of the song.

Tough choice, but I'd go with Misia. "Everything" live is a real performance to behold. Many close seconds though, like Ayu, Kuu, Ai, Ringo, etc.

Hana<3 4th January 2007 09:52 AM

Namie ofcourse... ^^ I think Ayu let me down the last 2 years, MY STORY, CDL 2005 - 2006 and (Miss) Understood tours are my least faves...

Keishi 6th January 2007 03:09 PM

Ya I know...BoA's k-Pop dances are like...WOWZERS <3

I think I can forgive her lipsynching. On the other note, I appreciate singers who can dance. Now that's what I call "performers".

alt.total-loser 6th January 2007 05:10 PM

Ayu, heh. Though Namie's pretty BAM, too.

Alessia_Tateno 10th January 2007 10:08 PM

I choose Namie, awesome voice and dancing non stop ** she is definitely the best!
Also I like Kumi **

Halla 15th January 2007 11:23 AM

I like hitomi's tours for the music , she sounds good live & her songs are excellent performed with a live band.

but Ayu & Koda Kumi put on a great show with dancers & special effects & elaborate costumes & stages and are also good singing live so I voted them too.

Ayu-youkou 16th January 2007 02:51 PM

I voted:

Ayu: Well duh :p

Nana Kitade: My second favorite artist ever, I adore her in every way.

Hitomi Shimatani: She is stunnin' and I love most of her music and performances, she is elegant and that I like 'bout her.

Mad_Cactuar 24th January 2007 12:59 PM

Mika's voice is CD-perfect even live.

Ai is amazing, OMG her Kingyo Hanabi JAM PUNCH version was god.

Jettles 24th January 2007 01:54 PM

I haven't seen very many lives.

But I'd say Ayu, Namie & Kuu are my favourites. As much as I love BoA, her lives kind of bore me.

alice<3 25th January 2007 01:56 AM

Ayu's concerts are very outdone and very nice, I've seen some kuu concerts and I quite like them too. I love Hikki's voice live, but when it comes to sets and such, she isn't always the best.

If I were to vote, I would say, Ayu and Kuu. But I haven't seen any of the others live. I went and watched some shiina ringo because she was given such praise, but her lives didn't seem all that entertaining, but still good. I tihnk I would say Ayu the most because, after all of her little theatrics in the (m)u tour, I was thoroughly entertained...I won't vote though, I haven't seen enough of the people, and that kind of bothers me.
