That makes a lot of sense. Although it's probably the fact that it' an odd song as well. The only way it would fit in with Ayu's other songs is if it was mastered/remixed and then it wouldn't be the same. :(

I have a love-hate relationship with that song, so I have no clue how I feel about it not being there. Somehow, it should have made it into AB2, it's defintaely one of her.... memorable songs. :P

I doubt it had anything to do with legal issues, the songs are already ayu's, they don't need permission anymore to make compilations and remixes and whatever. The reason they weren't included is because they're both controversial songs in ayu discography:

-single sold terribly
-majority of fans either love or hate them.

You can't consider something BEST when things are so gray like that.

I think it's sales + popularity amongst other singles released that year as well, and Ayu's personal opinion. I think that's what created the tracklist. I'm glad B&D and Pride aren't on there bbecause there are a lot better songs.

and i feel that Pride is a really really sad song.. she shld include it.. damn! imagine how impactful the album will be if the first track is Pride.

Before the release of B&D/Pride, ayu was on a very upwards sales slope. (miss)understood would have certainly sold more than MY STORY did, if prior single sales were any indicator. As much as i've come to appreciate the songs, i also very much recognize that single's release as her downfall in regards to sales.

While this BEST compilation may be a ploy to get money, it may also be a way of avex (and perhaps ayu) iterating that everything from that single to BLUE BIRD should be disregarded in the grand scheme of things - afterall, they were pretty much already doing that when deciding Secret would be a mini-album. A BEST 2 as a re-start of sorts.

The low sales of B&D/Pride could probly due to the fact that everyone knew about those two songs (and the pvs) will be on the album, so they didn't bother buying the single. You can't really put an equal sign between bad sales and bad songs.

Yup, I guess low sales. Still, I don't think they would have fit on A BEST 2 anyway. I agree with what people have said. Bold & Delicious/Pride was more of a "c'mon, let's do this and check out the public response" kind of single. I think it was more distinctive of (miss)understood as an album rather than as a track on a BEST album. If this was a singles collection, I would be complaining! But nope it's not, it's a BEST, and by definition, BEST kind of means the "best" songs. I'm rather relieved they didn't make it onto the BEST, it would have been really abrupt if it was inserted anywhere in the tracklist.

STEP you / is this LOVE, fairyland and HEAVEN will be in the album also
then they still sell well. The point is .. we all know whatever single she releases will be re-release in an album.

Eg, Ayaka's Mikazuki sell very well considering her album will be release soon after the single release

I love B&D and Pride. Plus it said in the description all singles from evolution-B&D...That's sad b/c I feel that B&D's single was much better than fairyland/alterna. Those two songs are the most underated Ayu songs ever because her versions are WAAAAAAAAAY better than Sweetbox's.

Well it was a combination of bad song + release date = poor sales.
