And for real guys, you aren't really THAT sad right? I mean, Utada lives far away from us and she doesn't know us, we can feel a little for her but too get so extremely saddened is a bit hmmm extreme, isn't it? :shrug I'd understand if it had been something more tragic, but, a divorce!? You don't even know how their relationship was going on... Divorces can sometimes be a good thing, rather than a bad one.

I always kinda got this feeling that Utada is having problem with him ever since Exdous's era after when i saw You Make Me Want To Be A Man interview. In the interview, she was very bothered (I think!) and i keep seeing her holding back her tears. But you know Utada never been the type of person that would cry in front of the camera, not even during a concert, right?:(

She'll be better off without him anyway. Now, more reason for Utada to release a dark album! Heehee... :P

Exactly! Honestly, I'm not too concerned. I'm not involved in her life in any capacity so the only thing I can think is "Oh, that's too bad," and then move on. Actually, I didn't think it would last. I'm basing this opinion solely on the general facts: she was very young when she got married and it was a celebrity pairing. Those kinds of relationships get a lot of attention so it's hard to keep them intact.

It's kind of like Hikki's mom being caught with the crack cash..

I don't know why but I kinda sensed some kind of weird tension between them in the making of videos of her PVs. :/ It's a pity really, I guess we could have known something was up, with Flavor of Life lacking a PV. :/

And to be honest, I'm not surprised. Aside from the usual celebrity marriage/divorce stuff, they also have a pretty big age gap, and she was pretty young when she married, and she could have change when she got older, and the change just doesn't help her marriage.

I haven't been following her career lately so this news was a complete surprise to me. I hope will have a friendly divorce.

These things are painful, but how old is she, like in her twenties? The idea that she'd find someone who satisfies her both emotionally and sexually for the rest of her life at such a young age is pure naivety.

That, plus the whole machine of celebrity and idol obsession being what it is, and having to distance herself personally from herself as she is perceived in the music - not to mention long distance and busy schedules - probably brought this about.

Let's hope she keeps her ground through this; these things are never easy.
