ayu without makeup is not so flattering....

mikewallace 5th March 2007 05:45 PM

I think she looks great without makeup.

immel 5th March 2007 05:52 PM

I think she looks a lot better without makeup than with, I have a tendency to think so about a lot of girls. Gorgeous pictures you posted there, Anthony.

I'm getting the DVDs from JPS, and been getting them for a few days since coyoteunknown is uploading all 4 of them.

I got my Black CD+2DVD today but haven't watched it yet, white should come tomorrow.

It's all about the makeup baby :yes nevertheless, she looks great and those photos are awesome!

I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but I liked that at the very begining they finally showed some video from the messup at the Saitama Super Arena concert I went to! Where she got stuck in the ball and had to sing is this Love? and (miss) Understood from inside. :)

Wow..

It looks like NEVER EVER got an outfit swap at the last minute..
It was less pinkish when they were changing / rehearsing..

I thoroughly disagree.

Replace that person's statement with "female celebrities" then we're in business..

She probably has other things to do that day besides just rehearsal.

First thought: OH MY GOD, GET OFF THE ROAD, PECO'S DRIVING!!!

Aside from that...

I loved it. I was tired when I was watching it so I didn't pick up as much of what they were talking about as I could have, but it was really amazing to see the amount of effort Ayu put into it. And to think this was just a CDL...imagine how hellish things are going to be for this Asia tour!

And I agree that it was fun to see her double...definitely not the same girl from Stadium Tour 2002. She wasn't as starstruck when she and Ayu were going over her routines. :P

Another nifty thing was seeing the evolution of the costumes. I thought it was hysterical that the two arm plates for the "ourselves" costume were totally different. xD And seeing the two (at least) costume changes for NEVER EVER/A Song for XX. So cool~!

Such a good documentary. :yes

EDIT: Plus, it was cool that Chiharu and Etsu were in the audience during the concert! Do ya think anyone noticed them and asked for an autograph or something? :P

truehappiness 6th March 2007 11:48 PM

I think that people also saw her old keyboardist[?] or was it drummer..?

He's her musical director now [Shingo Kobayashi.]

And I think when they first showed us the dress for ASFXX in the "double-change" it was the old one.. because the new one hadn't been "ordered" yet.. same goes for the use of the AT03-04 SURREAL-evolution-SURREAL top before that..

the angel song 6th March 2007 11:49 PM

lol @ people fussing at the no make-up. It's like how some people think guys look better with body hair or without...all preference :).

I really enjoyed the documentary...I got dizzy watching ayu explain things with her hands. This opened my eyes more to how she really does carry a realistic and business-like approach when it comes to her job on manufacturing "hamasaki ayumi". She's not some pushover "let everyone else do the work" celebrity like most people in the biz.

truehappiness 6th March 2007 11:53 PM

I wonder how long it took her to become like that..

Since she was also in charge of concert tour 2000.. I wonder how that went about. :O

chocopockymaster 7th March 2007 12:02 AM

Yeah, Shingo used to be her main keyboardist and you're right, he's now her musical director. He was back in the sound booth though, not like Chiharu and Etsu who were legitimately in the audience a few rows back from the stage.

Guess she really deserved that promotion from "Visualizer" to "All Producer". :P

truehappiness 7th March 2007 12:04 AM

No no, you can see him standing there in the middle of the audience at some point during the concert footage / documentary near the front..

Namie 8th March 2007 02:05 AM

someone else who thinks that Ayus vocal warm ups sux?

truehappiness 8th March 2007 02:08 AM

Probably not..

We've never heard her warm up..
