Hope she still use ayumi hamasaki as international name! :D

lol....Ayumi Nagase sounds ugly to me too...Nagase sounds like a girl name for some reason. I think ayu will keep her last name for her work.

micster 1st May 2007 10:06 PM

As a highprofile singer im sure she will choose to keep her own name

ll moments ll 1st May 2007 10:08 PM

Nagase Ayumi sounds better than Ayumi Nagase. :3 but i think she'll keep the Hamasaki, for her music career. like everyone said, her name is really important in the music industry and i don't think the public will ever get used to the name "Nagase Ayumi".

but, as for a nickname, i think just plain old "Ayu" would be good.

I dont want her to change her name.... :(

Beauty4123 1st May 2007 11:10 PM

lol i'd still call her "ayumi hamasaki, "ayu", or "ayumi". and i'm sure her stage name would still be ayumi hamasaki if she gets married. but her marriage name would probbably be her husband's last name.

I don't know...but probably not...

alt.total-loser 1st May 2007 11:56 PM

Not to mention what if they got *gasped* divorced later on. That might be awkward, haha.

I think Mamasaki takes the cake. That's just way too good! :laugh

shippo 2nd May 2007 03:39 PM

Lee_Hamasaki 2nd May 2007 04:39 PM

mamasakkiiiiiiI!

AyUmIXx 2nd May 2007 04:43 PM

it's just the same.."Ayuuu"

Dark_hated 2nd May 2007 04:55 PM

spanish people doesn't change their surnames when they get married... >_< everyone has two surnames, their father first surname and then mother first surname!! and there's no other...

also it is legal to change the order of the surnames...

it's complicated but seems the best way to me ^^

(is this post a bit off topic? xD sorry :P)

Aisha_Angel 2nd May 2007 05:22 PM

Ayunaga, was what I came up with, but I can't see myself saying that anytime soon in reference to Ayu. I'll just keep calling her "Ayumi" or "Ayu".

In Japan, there is no tradition of taking your husband's name as in America. Remember: it's an entirely different culture, peeps. You can have your name legally changed if you wish, but it isn't the norm, and not a part of the marriage process.
