She had some nice songs. From what I've seen on different boards, her fans still remember her.

Coelacanth 27th August 2007 08:30 PM

It's a shame, her music was way ahead of its time.

JaysenRyan 27th August 2007 09:17 PM

I never liked her music till she died. Something about her death moved me and prompted me to really give her a try. It's sad cause her album Aaliyah was her best.

ladytaboo 27th August 2007 09:30 PM

Yeah, her last album was def. her best IMO. I love "We Need a Resolution". And I also liked "Rock the Boat" (even though the video shoot led to her death :( ).

Loved I Care 4 U and the Hot Like Fire (Rmx/single version), which I never managed to get my hands on. Also loved Back & Forth, Try Again, We Need A Resolution, If Your Girl Only Knew & One In A Million.

I'd only bought the Journey To The Past & Try Again singles before she died, before finally getting the Aaliyah album after she died. My fave album was One In A Million. I remember watching hours of stuff about her on MTV Base after her death.

Yea....I was like glued to the television for a hours to get the scoop of her death. When I was a church (the after her death), my pastor announced her death but I was listening to him just about the whole sermon! (I know...bad me!) But I wasn't til later on in the evening when I find out about the unfortunale news. And like the next day, I watched 106 & Park (BET) and did a rememorance of her and they play Rock the Boat after that. I was even sadder bcuz at the end of the video, it said, 'RIP, Aaliyah!" ToT Oh, it was so sad. I was even sadder for my friend bcuz she LOVED Aailyah more than me. She said cryed and all that and even made (funny) stories about Aailyah....I guess it was a way for her to deal with Aaliyah's death during the time but I enjoyed them and I hope that Aaliyah is Rest In Peace!!!

I remember when she died. That was really sad and I didn't believe it at first. But the thing I really will always truly remember her for was the fact that she married R. Kelly when she was like 14.

^Oooh, I think was just a rumor.

AyumiFanGuy 28th August 2007 05:11 AM

HELVENEUE 28th August 2007 05:50 AM

She was my favorite female musician at the time of her death. I was in 4th grade I think, I was so crushed.

It's real. There are pictures of the marriage license. She lied about her age on it. They got the marriage annuled after he admitted to it being true.
