no. i do not think that ayu will give up on music. it's her life, don't worry, this ayu will sing till her last

Ayumi_Hamasaki902 11th January 2008 07:52 AM

I really don't think that she will stop singing. Yeah, as she has stated, singing is basically her life and her singing makes people like us, very happy and it just shows how much she is willing to go through and do for her fans like us and everyone else in the world.

Kodayumi 11th January 2008 09:19 AM

Remember her speech? :D

~X2RADialbomber~ 11th January 2008 09:45 AM

Ayumi has said lots of things about not giving up, and I know she's perservering, but I do think she will retire in the near future... I think if her right ear has even the slightest strain, she should quit. And no, I will hate it if Ayu quits, but I wouldn't want her to go as far as to lose her hearing

sibby 11th January 2008 03:28 PM

AYUMI HAMASAKI CANNOT QUIT SINGING. that's final

unless. @_@

catur 12th January 2008 02:45 AM

i just afraid her next album will sells low

me0wie 15th January 2008 01:37 AM

ayu is a perfectionist. she wouldn't allow inferior quality albums of hers to be out in the market... and we will ALL BUY her albums!! i think her albums might sell better than before... o.O :)

ayuzlove 17th January 2008 02:30 AM

i really hope that i can at least go to her concert once...else i will regret for my whole life... but i also hope she will take care of herself

Jwiz 17th January 2008 03:50 AM

^ same here. Now your right ear is extremely important you so please ayu, don't over-strain it.

ayu won't quit unless something really big happens. (worse than lost of hearing)

minna 18th January 2008 03:04 AM

she's sincere with her fans
when she says she won't quit, I believe her
I don't want her to stop singing believe me, she's my favorite artist but
you know, someday she will probably stop singing (and I will be really realy really sad) but this hasn't arrived
and it won't be before a looooooooooot of years I'm pretty sure

we must not think about that and enjoy her music
and be supportive
She will continue to sing 'til she can't - that's what she says and she's honest
so we'll hear are amazing songs for many many many years from now

as for looking for another artist, personally I think that nobody can replace Ayu
nobody can replace her songs, her personality, her singing : in fact everything about her can't be replace

TuNaRoLl1024 19th January 2008 08:42 PM

she'll know when the time's right for her to stop or slow down. we can't ever really be sure when that is-

so "until that day..." remember?

:)

DestinyWishes 19th January 2008 08:51 PM

There is eventually going to be a time when she's going to have to stop singing, but I don't think that time will be any time soon.

norwegian blue 21st January 2008 08:48 PM

since there are no songs from secret or guilty on A best 2, i bet she's gonna make at least 2 more albums so that there can be an A best 3! so you guys shouldn't worry too much.. at least not yet=)

nightlightyear 22nd January 2008 10:29 PM

Yeah I would be upset if that happened but TBH I dont think its gonna happen for a long long time. :)

norain 22nd January 2008 10:31 PM

I'm fine with ayumi retiring, I got koda on my mind nowadays anyway, !

lol, jk.

One day she'll stop singing, but I'm sure it won't be anytime soon.

The greatest fear in AHS community is when she stop singing. Only Anti-ayus don't.

Don't worry, you aren't alone. I've never ever attended any one of her concert in my life so far. As long as we continue supporting her mentally and her album, we're loyal enough of being her greatest fan. She's the only idol which I liked so much, almost more than anything..

yeah. same here... she's the only one i liked so much... there is no one else whose songs i like so much, and no one else as pretty and talented as her! :love

Eddie Z 29th January 2008 04:11 AM

I was thinking the same thing. Our only hope is that she will stick to her promise if at all possible. Ayu is confident she can continue without any ill effects on her singing.

4ever*ayu 30th January 2008 04:08 AM

part of me... is gigantically(tell me if there is more relevant word) afraid about ayu not singing anymore, it is because long ago before i love ayu i never thought that i will end up loving one artist like this, never thought i will have an idol to look up for, i even laugh at someone else for loving one artist like that, thinking why would someone love an artist so much, you know? like collecting the artist's poster, or any other souvenir.

But my paradigm turned 360 degrees when i suddenly because of watching ayu's Fly high PV, becoming an ayu fan and start liking ayu so much and liking her even more when i join AHS, reading all about her past stories and everything about her, and till now ayu is the only artist for me, it even influence me to not having an attraction from other artist anymore, my artist is only ayu, my music interest is only ayu, other none. and just so you know before i turned to ayu, i am a fan of bands like guns and roses, metalica, korn, MCR, and so on, but after being an ayufan, it'll be none, none, and none.
That is the reason why i must see her live, watch her concert live at least once in my life.

But another part of me... has thought about how ayu has been given and dedicated her all to us for almost EVERY SECOND OF HER TEN YEARS now. i also thought about how ayu is a very special and a legendary human being to me, and with the left ear problem following in too. And because of this, i am also very okay if ayu choose the path of ending her career and having a rest and then get married, have a child and live happily and ever after.

walking proud 30th January 2008 08:36 PM

i think maybe it's time for her to bow out gracefully and retire.

1) guilty did not get the #1 debut spot
2) ayu is deaf in left ear
3) less often singles/albums have caused more interest in other stars rather than ayu-- it even seems like avex has given up on her
4) avex's stocks go down when the ear news was announced

I don't know if it will happen but I think it would probably be for the best now, as much as i <3 her.

don't call me an "ANTI-AYU" because i've been following her and supporting her for years. she should do whatever makes her happy of course.
