Not at all. You need to show maturity and ability to follow the rules is all, really... post count has nothing to do with it. A good level of activity on the forum and a good knowledge of how the forum works, ie has been a member for at least a few months... we also take that into consideration. If anyone thinks they're a good candidate and would enjoy it, they're welcome to PM a nomination for themself or someone else.

I think I barely had like a 1000 posts before joining the staff.

Like Cory said, if someone is interested in joining the staff they're free to nominate themselves into consideration via a PM. or just interested in being a helper for some time.

I was a Helper twice before, but that's not a permanent position. I was just a regular ol' initiate again until about 2 days ago.
