Yes, the M LP was released in the UK and featured mostly dub remixes of some songs from the first Ayu Trance release. It made her the first asian to reach #1 on the charts in UK. Unfortunately, the sucess of the record is attributed more to the techno scene in Europe over anything Ayu had to do with. Since Ayu's vocals weren't on any of the songs in the record, most people would have attributed the song to the remixer, since nothing of even the original CREA composition remained.

It's a very rare record, but I do have most of the MP3s, and some of the songs off of it were released on Ayu Trance 2.

I'm glad to hear about this. Hopefully it'll turn out to be true.

Any word on which company will be releasing it?

Ashley

i hope this was not posted before..

it's true!
After connected there will be released another ayu single in germany: M

like connected it will be a cd full of trance remixes, and i hope, that the original version is on the maxi cd.
i think they have chosen M because of the pv to the remix.

like connected there will be a vinyl release first. the release of the first vinyl will be the 7.7. of this year.

the german ayu communtiy is really looking forward to this and we will keep you up to date!
espect cd scans etc.

Maybe it will even show up in recordstores in countries near Germany! That would rawk, I wouldn't even have to import anything to buy an Ayu record!

Seeing as how Above & Beyond's popularity has soared beyond (one could even say above & beyond, HAR HAR) what it was when they first did the "M" remix, I'd say these singles have a good chance of doing well.

Ayumi did find a perfect place to launch her release on overseas markets by using trance remixes since Europe, especially Germany since trance albums sells like hot cakes over there.

sxesven 4th July 2003 04:12 PM

In Holland too, but Holland is just smaller.

But hey, we got the almight Dj Tïësto! Yeah, he's from Holland! :cool

Cavi 4th July 2003 04:37 PM

I wish to visit one day

The Netherlands is like the home of the trance gods - Tïësto, Corsten, Van Buuren, De Moor.

sxesven 4th July 2003 05:01 PM

Exactly :D yup, I'm not a trancelover but I can be proud of our trance artists!

I am MOST proud of the fact that Ferry Corsten produced 'Connected'. :shimmy
