I think (maybe) it's because when people see ayu on tv, instead of talking about the item she's promoting, they'll be talking about her deafness. i dont think it's because her deafness is being discriminated against, rather it's something people will talk about instead of the product. i asume they want "problem free" people haha. so if it's that reasoning, i guess it's ok if she's on the list.

i dont think her deafness can affect for CM or sales

To clarify, the reason is not about her deafness directly but for the possible uneasiness and concern due to the deafness. Even then, I don't agree with that because I think it's false since people don't feel uneasy nor concern when they see Ayu. Might as well leave her out of A-nation '08 since she might cause uneasiness and concern there. The real reason is she's expensive or has other things to do. Actually I wanted her to be number 1 where the reason is that she's expensive, because I think it would be funny. :)

It's kind of a lame reason because although her hearing is affecting her work, it's not affecting it like crazy. Mostly just her singing. CM = acting. :S Oh well.

Well, even if the reasons are lame or dumb etc, I guess advertisers would be really cautious on who they choose for advertisements, because there ARE people out there who would think about Ayu's well-being when seeing Ayu in an ad, rather than the product.

I was surprised by the title of this thread and read it a few times before realising it's seriously what it is. XDD I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. It's rare to see a negative poll around, actually (but it's not oricon, so maybe that's why.)
