lol, polls are not usually made based on one teenage girl. She just happens to be the one they interviewed. Oricon interviews different people who voted on why they picked the particular person they picked and they'd quote that person on their article. :) The one I posted here was the one Oricon picked to include in the article, who was probably one of the people who voted for Ayu.

Yui has the ideal personality from a Japanese standpoint. She always ranks very highly in these kind of polls.

I have to agree. YUI's personality doesn't stand out at all. I understand why aiko would be there because her personality is just so lovable and she has great energy. But YUI is just blah. I think Japanese people love YUI's down-to-earth side.

YUKI is the girl who used to sing with Judy & Mary in the 90s. She's solo now, more info can be seen here. She's very cute, has a great personality, and she is 36 years old.
I think it's kinda cool how the artists in their 30s like YUKI, Namie, and Ayu are still holding the top spots.:D
