Yeah, I noticed the tattoo when I saw her at AT08. She didn't cover it up at all during End Roll / HANABI. I'm guessing she got it redone because it was supposed to be a "symbol of love" when she was going out with Tomoya (since he got it, too), and obviously they're no longer going out...

I think it's becoming popular among singers. Mika Nakashima displays hers on the VOICE cover too.

I'm not a big fan of tattoos though :(.

Oh yeah! I forgot that Tomoya had one too! It reminds me of Johnny Depp and the tattoo get got when he was with Wynonna Rider.

I kinda sad to see Ayu tattoo on her beautiful skin.... a lady's delicate skin should be spotless! But I respect her decision though! I love you ayu!

Yeah.. I wondering, when she still couple with Tomoya, why she did never showed up her tattoo? But, why now she always show up the tattoo? I think, after the Secret album, she always show it to public? Am I right? But why? Why? Why? Why?

I feel the same way. She has very beautiful skin and I feel that tattoo is an imperfection. It's just...so big and right smack on the right shoulder where everyone can see it. Everytime I see it I feel regretful she got it. It just doesn't fit her right in my eyes. Maybe this is just uncommon among female artists...I don't know many Japanese artists sporting tattoos; female ones at least. Ayu happens to be one of the biggest ones (and my favorite) too so it's awkward for me.

In the end it was a decision she made. She was also young once (and still is). I think everyone makes some radical choices when they are young (like going skydiving...or getting a tattoo for the matter lol). Even if she no longer wanted that tattoo she had no choice I think. To get it removed by laser surgery would result in something worse than the tattoo itself. Leaving the tattoo by itself wouldn't make a lot of sense seeing as how she broke off her relationship. Even if she's moved on, that tattoo would say otherwise. I guess by logic, she altered it to a 10th anniversary logo...killed two birds with one stone.

Tattoos are not a bad thing.

I think it's interesting that both Ayu's and tomoyas tattoo both had the A in it. Ayu is either very smart, and tomoya is stupid, or both.

But it's my opinion...that ayu's tattoo has always been for her, and now, it always will be.
