Well, yes, they have a lot, specially the Avex Azabu Studio which I believe is the main one (is the most mentioned on the avex´s artist´s booklets) and actually recording companies sometimes rent studios for other companies and so on... so Ayu has a lot of places within Japan where she can record her songs, but why she chose Hawaii this time is unknown to me. Probably because she also did other things there (maybe the cover´s shootings or the PV shooting, etc.) or maybe she just felt like going there this time around. :D
