That's the number of albums sent to stores. The 840k is the sales recorded in oricon. Usually, it's understated cos some stores don't send their numbers to oricon.

AC is still selling over a thousand copies and is at #120 and beyond, but it seems like other albums are selling the same amount or less but are in the top 20 or so. maybe i'm imagining things.
