oh, I can live with fernandez as director. Boooold and Beautiful Fighters were very entertaining. but avex might kill ayu if she doesn't hold her schedule. @_@"

njanjayrp 20th February 2009 09:49 PM

Well BoA worked with a famous American director and we all know what happen to that PV.. xD This guy did a good job with both Pride and BF ^^

emi♡ 20th February 2009 09:55 PM

anyone besides Shimoko.

I kinda liked the B&D/Pride videos...

I think B&D was perfect for the song...and it's fun. It's different...

Maybe we'll see more Ayu this time and not...you know...the whole entourage.

Yoake 20th February 2009 09:56 PM

thanks for sharing!

Beautiful fighters was such a good video. It fit the song so well.
However Pride and B&D werent so good.

Hopefully the song he directs is more upbeat..i cant stand him directing another ballad video.

PS>Does anyone know who directed my name's WOMEN?

Thanks for sharing! It appears she's flying JAL on the new suite before she flies on her private jet...

But not the American director again!? It appears that she loves America so much besides Japan...

emi♡ 20th February 2009 10:32 PM

okay...what's up with all those baggy speedo things...ew :shakehead

Pride would've been better if it actually HAD a storyline...as for Bold & Delicious...Well, there may not have been any food involved in it, but I think Hernandez really captured the essence of the actual SONG with the whole "riding on the back of a semi confidently-theme".

Other directors of some one Ayu's greatest PVs can't seem to capture that essence well to me. They just kind of contrast the overall message of the song and leave you confused as hell...A great example of this would be "ladies night"...It's a good PV but with the exception of a few scenes that actually connect to the lyrics of the song, the rest of the video just doesn't enhance the overall theme Ayu was trying to convey in the song. It actually seemed to me like the exact opposite...And what about videos like "INSPIRE"? What the hell did that song have to do with ANY of the lyrics?

Of course someone could argue that the ending of the video was just the signature "Ayu-twist" of things but...meh that's an argument for another day.

Great pics ! Thanks maxker ! ^^

PS : First Pics on Ayu.no were taken on Hawaii I think! '_'

Blasterion 20th February 2009 10:42 PM

I'm sure this will be a fun PV
cute pants btw ^^

And wow private jet :D now Ayu will be reunited with the luggage she left behind ^^

and I wanted to wait with Ayu at Narita...;)

thanks for the translation!

Bigtop 20th February 2009 11:04 PM

I think Ayu has got to be safe when flying out of Narita, because recently on February 20th a Northwest Airlines 747-400 just went for a bumpy landing and caused around 50 people to get injured... (see http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...HdC2QD96FBNV01 for AP article regarding on the incident)

Hopefully Ayu and her other passengers on her flight stay safe and does not get any aviation-and-weather-related injuries during her journey...

so true :)

I actually like the pv's that he directed. I am excited!

gogirlanime 20th February 2009 11:50 PM

I have more faith in this director than the other one because I decently liked BD/Pride. But yeah, two crappy directors boo.

It's something different. That's what I've been wanting from Ayu for forever. Something different than the past "fierce" stuff she has been doing. It's getting old. NEXT LEVEL was a great refreshing change. I almost hope that Kazuyoshi is directing a PV for NEXT LEVEL (the song). He sucks at PVs for "fierce" songs but I think he'd be amazing at a calmer more soothing song.

As for this director, B&D isn't my favorite song but it was something unique. I hope this is the same way. I like uniqueness. I'm hoping NEXT LEVEL will be more varied in terms of genre than GUILTY was. She just better not be wearing that outfit from the picture in the PV :x.
