Its quite confusing.

First of all: MY STORY didn't release on 2005.
Second of all: GUILTY killed her #1 streak.

And lastly: I don't understand what ORICON charts are saying but its good to hear that she made another impact to her career. :)

it's in first week ! GUILTY lost #1 when ORICOn combined 2 weeks ! My story was released on 17/12 and at that time Oricon had ended 2004 chart so Ayu had another #1 for 2005 ( i think that ^^ )

MY STORY was released in late 2004 so it was counted to 2005 Oricon charts, because the oricon chart year starts earlier than the year actually changes.

GUILTY didn't get #1 in 2008 but A COMPLETE did.

And also to those who don't really understand, in short, she is the first artist to have an album hit #1 in its first week, every year for 11 years.

No. Because A BEST, A BEST 2 and A COMPLETE are counted. It's just albums in general, not specifically studio albums.

RAINBOW, Memorial address and MY STORY were all released in December of 2002, 2003 and 2004 respectively. Due to that, the Oricon year that they were counted in was pushed back by a year.

So, this beautiful record looks like this:

1999: A Song For xx/LOVEppears (both got #1 weekly IIRC, so Oricon counts either one of them for 1999)
2000: Duty
2001: A BEST
2002: I am...
2003: RAINBOW
2004: Memorial address
2005: MY STORY
2006: (miss)understood/Secret (same case with 1999)
2007: A BEST 2
2008: A COMPLETE
2009: NEXT LEVEL

GUILTY is also in Oricon year 2008, and although it got #2 weekly, Oricon counted A COMPLETE to represent 2008 for Ayu instead.

Yes, but she released A COMPLETE ~ALL SINGLES~ , which was #1, giving her #1 for the year of 2008.

(on the REAL first week it was #1, but because it was released on January 1st and was already been sold in the last week of December, they got together the two weeks and it lost for ARASHI or else, if I'm not sure. Remeberin' that ORICON doesn't work in the last week of December). That's happend also with I am... and (miss)understood, both released in January 1st.
